Covid Statistics Discussion

Covid Statistics Discussion

I'm interested to hear what everyones thoughts are on this:

There have been a total of 251,000 recorded cases of covid in Australia

Of that 251,000 there have been 2,100 deaths

Percentage wise, less than 1% of those who were infected died

Just wondering what everyone thinks about those stats

Re: Covid Statistics Discussion

Hello @pancakes! I just found this thread. Well, I personally think the seriousness of this virus depends on many factors. Not many people have died so it seems that maybe it's just making most people a bit unwell, even though our Government is still saying that Covid-19 is dangerous. I'm sure it would be, for some people.
I guess the big problem is, this virus is a new type of bad cold, so you never know if you'll be lucky and get away with just having mild symptoms, or could you end up getting really sick? You just never know until you catch it yourself. I got myself fully vaccinated just to be cautious and on the safe side. This was my own decision though.
