Daily Check In Space

Daily Check In Space

Hi Friends, Family and Carers

Caring for loved ones living with complex mental health issues can be really challenging, and the carer's experience can often be overlooked and/or difficult to talk about day to day. We have created this space so that those feelings, challenges and accomplishments can be heard, and to promote carer's wellbeing and self-care.

To participate, here are 3 questions for your daily check in:

1) How are you feeling?

You can use a scale of 1-10 (1= really bad , 10= really good), if you would like to.

2) What is one thing you have struggled with, and one thing you have done well?

3) What is one nice thing you can do for yourself today?

You're welcome to check in daily, or how ever often you need to! Please just remember to be respectful and kind to each other as each of our experiences are so different.

Feel free to tag any carers you know in this space!

@Healandlove , mums surgery went well, I held her hands throughout the surgery, she got her stitches out today

my hubby`s surgery is healing very well, thank you.

I cannot show you a photo but just imagine a cut from just under your eye sloping down to the side of your mouth wow we could not believe how much they cut out

@Sharni-lea Hi hope you are doing good. How are you today? Have you talk with your partner about the things she does to make you angry. Have you said her how much that makes you hurt and ask her why is she doing those things. Because to have a good relationship, both of you should be understandable.

Content/trigger warning
Good evening, yes we talk a lot, she feels guilty and apologises a lot and says she doesn't know why she dies it and that I deserve better but that if I can stick around she is getting help and promises to fix things. She is hurting just as much as I am, it's so hard.

@Shaz51 , so glad both your mum and husband's surgeries went well! What a comfort for both you and your mum for you to have been there holding her hand during the surgery. An angel with no wings...or perhaps you have them.hidden? 😉🤗

Sounds like a massive cut from what you describe. 😳 Glad it's all done now.

🫂🥰
