Something’s not right

Anyone else have this

Anyone else have this

Ok so odd question.

I hear instrumental music always.

It's like when its raining you can hear the rain in the background, except its always there in the background. it becomes louder if i concentrate on the music

also it changes depending on where I am and what my emotions are.

So for example if i am at the town hall i hear classical music.

For as long as a can remember I have always heard music. Have tried to bring it up in the past with physiatrists and my doctors, they have been dismissive, *cough* (its not words).

Does anyone else have this odd thing happen to them?

Or anything similar but different?

Would love to talk about it.

Another term is audiation, and another is an ear worm

Sometimes when dealing with low self esteem we spend a lot of time working out what is "wrong" with us, that might also be a little behind the pdocs not wanting to pathologise it. The ability to imagine sound can also be a talent.

Hope you find the forum helpful.

Thanks.

I'll look into it.

i don't see this as something wrong with me its just a part of my every day life. which according to society in general is considered part of mental health issues.

My question is coming from a place of curiousity.

What is pdocs?

Me asking the dr's about goes with the question to gp's(dr's) my internal skin is highly ticklish, How do i know this? 1 im a girl so Papsmear, 2 mira coil, 3 covid tests back of throat and in nose. highly ticklish areas.

ticklish internal skin, hear music all the time.

weird, interesting, omg its actually real(scientifically) ok cool.

was wondering if i was the only one now i know its a thing that happens.

that's freaking awesome.

ps. i can't answer yesterday as i have a strong reaction atm to perceived rejection or criticism. and i needed the to time to calm myself. i know you didn't mean to but please be aware that text doesn't carry the intended emotions. most words can and are associated with negative emotions by the person doing the reading.

Hugs sorry

Sorry you got triggered. Words are so difficult and can be taken in many ways. Emoticons only go so far. Glad you saw that my intent was good and supportive.

I am also very sensitive but never knew it til getting older. I know how hard it can be to need to calm ourselves down. Just dropping by, but hope you are in a better place, and glad you are positive.
