Re: Keeping Happy

I think I took the VIP chopper for a diversionary trip to visit my Dad in hospital

@TAB @Oaktree @Clawde @StuF @Bunniekins

Isn't that the benefit of having VIP transport ... that you can do what you want, go where you need? Anyway my Dad has been in Canberra hospital for the past 4 days, some 7 hours drive from where I am. So I decided a quick diversion in the chopper was called for. An opportunity I could not pass up. Cold wintery frosty Canberra .... Brrrrr. But I sent the chopper on without me, as I didn't think it was fair for everyone to suffer the cold along with me. However I still don't know where everyone ended up after that. Hopefully some warm and sunny tropical Island escape. Anyway my Dad is doing okay now, and will hopefully be transferred back to his small local hospital today or tomorrow. He will stay there for up to a week before being allowed back home. He lives with my brother and his family on their farm, some 45 mins out of town.

Re: Keeping Happy

@Emelia8 kind regards to your father. i lived in canberra for 13 years. loved the autumn and winter , hated the dry heat of summer.

Re: Keeping Happy

I think autumn is the best season in Canberra @Bunniekins and very pretty too with all the autumn colours.

Winters you get used to I guess, and I actually liked the frosty starts. Sigh, I do miss that. The summers are hot and very dry. I grew up in the Southern Tablelands area and spent almost all of my adult life there. However I have left there some 13 years ago and have become aclimatised to warmer winters and milder summers now. It took me a few years to get used to the humidity here.
