Re: Keeping Happy.

@Shaz51 the mere mention of homemade sausage rolls is instantaneous mouth water for me! Seriously top level comfort food, second only to cottage pie and maybe lasagne...oh and also a lamb roast.

I bet they were delicious?

Re: Keeping Happy.

Chicken thigh recipe with your own secret spices sounds scrumptious @Clawde .

And good for you in your intension to replace your badly wilted and withered yellow flower. If I could, I would very happily give you a beautiful rose, a colour of your choice, or one of every colour.

Best of luck with putting the BBQ together. If its any consolation, a gentleman who lives across the road from me bought a new BBQ just before Australia day too. He cursed and complained about how difficult it was, and how it took him many hours to finish putting it together. So you are not alone in having difficulty with it. 😮

Re: Keeping Happy.

Hello everyone, will try the tag thing later, however, those of you guys following along, Thank a you,

the thing is the BBQ is built, and will be cooking up a Charcoal BBQ later on today, let’s me hope the fire does not happen with this one.

the Chicken the other day, cooked it in the Oven tasted beautiful, but the marinade had old Clawde going to the toilet nearly every hour all night.

so the plan to day is bbq the best steaks with no marinade, only oil and peppers, salt later, a few cobs of corn, but the charcoal takes like @ little 2 hours to be ready, apparently it’s got to be ash covered then one puts on the meat, to seal it, then cook it, feeling like ai should invite the neighbours that helped, put the stupid thing together, but don’t want to, not doing grilled onions, because of this, trying to have a BBQ without company, it’s just a mental health thing, when one wants to be alone in real life, sorry to spell it out, IRL, but I get you guys understand 🤞

Re: Keeping Happy.

well you could invite them over when you feel more up to it I guess @Clawde anyway sounds like a good hobby and could cook meat for a week in one go I guess

Re: Keeping Happy.

It makes me very happy @Clawde to read that you now have your BBQ fully constructed and operational.

Nothing beats a good steak! I am envious.

As for inviting your neighbours who helped you put the BBQ together ... I dont think its a problem at all not to invite them when your desire is for some alone time or a bit of solitude.

You can invite them another time, when you feel more like some company. Perhaps its a good idea to try the new BBQ on your own first anyhow. Then you will know all the tips and tricks with it, when you do invite others.

I think most people need some time out occasionally, and some more than others. If you are an introvert like myself ... being with other people is very draining. Time to myself is needed to recharge the batteries.

Enjoy your steak. And please ... no more fires! Happy days to all reading.

Emelia 😄
