Hello @Clawde
Thank you very much for your reply on Emelia's thread. I know that you and I are among many others who share concern for her and the wish and hope that everything goes successfully this week, in preparation for recovery and hopefully better times.
Unfortunately, the fire situation over here is very severe, though I don't watch much news as I don't wish to take on distress about issues and events over which I have no control or direct involvement. Neither is there much that I can contribute in practical terms.
It gives me no satisfaction to say that the fires, at this stage are not affecting me, knowing that others are distressed and in distress.
The covid situation is what may have been predictable. When a dam is created and then dismantled or breached, in some way, there is likely to be flood conditions. I'm not sure whether we are any better or worse off than we might otherwise have been.
I actually feel sorry for Victorians, who went through those horrendous restrictions and sanctions, with so little to show for it. Qld'ers close behind, though not with such a high number of deaths and NSW following that.
With regard to anonymity @Clawde , the region of WA, in which I live, is actually more than twice the size of Victoria and has a population of about 52,000 people, of which about half that number live in Geraldton. That makes Vic's population nearly 150 times the population of this region. I think that I might be difficult to find, even if there were reason to do so.
I have just written a fairly long post on tagging and contacts in the forum {about 1000 words} in the "Re: Topic Tuesday // Let's Chat: Safer Internet Da..." thread that you may be interested in reading. I would be interested in your thoughts, if you feel inclined. No badgering 😃😄 if you do not feel that it's your thing now or anytime.
Sorry, most of what I have discussed has been on the serious side. However, In a thread called "Keeping Happy", it's time to look up and look forward to better times ahead.
With the Very Best of Wishes to you @Clawde and, following in your steps, extended outward through and from us to the Forumite family.
With My Very Best Wishes
