Re: Keeping Happy.

Very pleased to hear that you are going well, @Former-Member .

My situation is improving day by day. As I've said elsewhere, I'm coming from a long way back, and I've still got a fair way to go to reach "even" or "balance" and still have quite a few issues to address.

However, my position is improving and I am feeling very positive. The light at the other end of the tunnel is definitely not a train rushing toward me, but the glow of daylight and the promise of being able to enjoy the feeling and sensation of sunshine, fresh air and lovely, lush, green vegetation, both literally and figuratively.

Best wishes

@HenryX

Re: Keeping Happy.

Our town usually has a BBQ today. We're not big on the "pomp and ceremony" part of things, but like having a chance to catch up with the community, so we usually turn up deliberately a bit late, when the formal side is finished with. But this year it's had to be cancelled as a number of the volunteers are positive and isolating. Not enough hands-on-deck available to run it.

So, either we lock down and have to cancel events, or we don't lock down, people get sick, and we have to cancel events. Oh well...

One informal feature of the town BBQ is dancing, and "The Nutbush" is a yearly "tradition". Last time I joined it, I found out I'm not as fit as I need to be. 😛

Weird fact- the song is American, the dance is Aussie. Tina Turner did a huge double take when she performed in Australia, and the whole crowd did a synchronised dance that she'd never seen anywhere else. https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/life-and-relationships/schoolhouse-outhouse-the-mysterious-history-of-the-nutbush-20181115-p50g9n.html

Re: Keeping Happy.

Haven't done my food order. Hmmm... since the BBQ's not on, maybe pizza, or a classic meat pie.

I'll wash it down with either a nice cider, or Bundaberg Ginger Beer if I decide I'm not in the mood for alcohol.

Hello @RedHorse

Noticed a support there, welcome to the party. If you're like me, as I expressed earlier, I have been a bit unsure of how to interact and participate in a digital party. If I seem fairly sure of myself, there is a lot of bravado and a fair bit of familiarity that allows me to feel a little more sure of myself in what would otherwise be unfamiliar territory.

I hope that you will come in, mix around and enjoy yourself in a playful sort of way.

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Keeping Happy.

@TAB, I reckon she's improved over time. Someone who has aged well.
