TW: Mentions self harm

TW: Mentions self harm

I don't know what the worst thing about falling again and fracturing my shoulder. The fact that people think either my partner did it or that I did it deliberately for attention as a way of manipulation because my relationship is in the gutter and no matter what I do I can't get anything right.

It's hard emotionally that people think my partner did it, he's too kind and couldn't hurt a fly if he tried.
The fact people think I did it to myself deliberately makes me angry and not just a little bit, but like a raging bull. Why would I deliberately incapacitate my dominant shoulder for attention. As if breaking the elbow in my other arm earlier this year wasn't bad enough and didn't mess with my head enough.
The thought of having to go through it all again. Why the fuck would I.
The only people who believe me are those who don't know my past history of self harm and my own mother. I told her what people are thinking and told her I didn't do it to myself and she said she knew that breaking bones was never my way of self harming and never will be
It really hurts because I can tell from the way people act around me that they don't believe it and think I'm lying. I'm not another broken bone was the last thing I needed or wanted.
I want to scream for people to just believe me but I know it's not going to help the situation.

Hi @wild_rose, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through after breaking your arm. Other's judgments can be really hurtful, and I am hearing there have been a lot of wrong conclusions drawn that have a big impact There is still so much stigma and assumptions made isn't there? I feel sad you had to go through this

You mentioned that you have a few people in your life who have been supportive, and I am glad to hear you have your mum in your corner so you aren't facing these comments alone. Has your partner also been a support with all the comments from other people?

Here in this space you will always be believed and heard

Hi @wild_rose

Sorry to hear about your fractured shoulder and other people's judgements. I wonder who are these people and why does what they think really matter when you understand and know the truth.

Your mum and partner sound like they are supportive and I think that is great. And I am sure they are probably the people you are closest to. It's good that you recognise screaming at people is not going to help the situation.

I hope that your fractured shoulder heals quickly and I'm sorry to hear about the broken elbow earlier this year.

It's not nice when you feel you are not being believed and I can recognise the frustration in your writing. What do you think is most important for you to move forward so that you don't feel agitated by other people's beliefs about you?

For me, when I am not believed, I recognise that the person is only seeing life from their point of view and not mine and in judging me they are only seeing a small snippet of the story. I then recognise they are only human and they will inevitably judge others because that's what people do and it seems common place so I think oh well let them judge and I know what I know. I know what I believe is a truth for me and that is what is important. I do not feel angry against the other person either because they are only seeing it from their point of view and it doesn't make it a fact.

Anyway I hope what I have written makes some sense and I hope your shoulder gets better quickly.

Hi @@pinklollipop15 and @Daisydreamer

I dint know if my partner is on my side at the moment. He was the one who asked if I did it deliberately. My sister finally believed me after I broke down yesterday and stated pretty much what I said above.

My relationship is the toilet thankd to uncontrolled mental health for years and is talking trial separation despite my best efforts to regain control and get better because he has yet to see changes and the ones he has seen he is struggling to believe that they will last.

I don't want to lose him yet I feel as I am going to and it scares me and makes it harder to regain control. I just want things to normal again. He says he doesn't want me to change who I am for him. I don't think he quite understands I'm also doing it for myself because I don't want to be like this anymore. I don't want to drive anyone else or anything good in my life away again 😭
