HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!

I will be in the forum @BlueBay - I have my computer with me and I am staying at a hotel and will be alone for the evenings

And I will be home on Saturday - I am just taking a few days this time - planning on another trip to Cairns in the spring - I found September to be a great time in the tropics

I think I post more when I am away - I guess I have the time - the last few days have been hectic

I often have to buy something - it's not good if I forget something I can't buy when I am away - that has happened but I have learned a lot by trial and error

I love that story about the iron - my mother always forgot her sunglasses - she had a bunch of problems without a label - I guess she had something to check up on - Dad always turned around and drove home though - I have always had the opinion that if Dad had just driven on the sunglasses trick would have worn off though -

So I love it that the man had the iron in the boot - really enjoy that idea - but once - many years ago - we were a long way from home - before the days of Maccas etc - and the picnic was left on the kitchen table - which wasn't all bad - we had warm cups of tea as soon as we got home -

I am looking forward to seeing her @BlueBay - I haven't seen here for about 4 months since she moved north

We get along really well - she is more like me than my daughter is - not that I say anything - they are both wonderful women though and I am so glad I have them in my life

You can look forward to this in your future -

I don't drive now so it will be great to go for a drive with my grand-daughter - to see the beach near when she is and she is planning a drive into the mountains - I am looking forward to seeing her studio too - and seeing what art she has done lately - she is an excellent artist - ah - she didn't inherited that from me - and my daughter is the one with the magic green fingers which she didn't inherit from me either

But we are all musical - that is a great thing to have in common

My trip was overseas @Owlunar, and a family affair, and therefore an emotional rollercoaster, but there you go ......

There were moments of great interest because I booked myself on sight-seeing tours that were usually walking tours of medieval town centres, which I love ..... so got some good in with the not-so-good.

I would enjoy visiting medieval things too @Faith-and-Hope - I enjoy European History and would like to browse around things having realised fairly recently that the Uffizi was originally offices of the Medici and only became a museum more recently - actually during the times of Cosmo Medici it was almost a fort

I just love things like that but somehow I don't really think I will ever get to Europe - as interesting as that would be - but there is plenty to see in Australia

So a trip with the family - with attendant dramas no doubt - how many Baby Dragons di you take with you this time? And was Mr okay or difficult or was there a mixture of temperment?- and what about your MIL?

Really - I am glad that you were able to have time on your own to enjoy yourself and enjoy your interests - that would be fantastic

We took three baby dragons @Owlunar , but we met up with extended family over there, so there were more dragons present of a different nature ....

Mr. was fairly settled cos we leave him to his own tracks, and in the interests of self-preservation not interfering with that is best ..... although the other dragons tried at times, so there was a mix between some dragon fire when it didn’t work out well, and having him a little more-present-but-not-really at other times. I mean, it’s not really classed as having dinner together when someone is only drinking water and staying long enough to be polite only .... really ..... but for him this is progress of a sort.
