I'm not looking after myself again

I'm not looking after myself again

I'm writing this in the hope that I will start looking after myself again.

I have gone back into not looking after myself. I'm not sure why or how it happened. I don't remember the last time I had a shower and cleaned my teeth. I think it was last Tuesday.

I'm not eating properly or drinking enough water.

I was supposed to have an appointment with my therapist this week but I'm not sure when it was supposed to be and it didn't happen because she often forgets to call me.

I'm waiting for night time because that's usually when I feel better. The neighbourhood children are so loud and annoying.

I'm in a dark, negative space but I'm not having suicidal thoughts.

I'm listening to my audio book by Thich Nhat Hanh to see if that will help. It's called Peace Is Every Step.

Thank you @pamplemousse ❤

I listened to my audio book but I found it hard to concentrate because my thoughts were so intrusive. So I did two 10 minute semi guided meditations and I definitely feel calmer.

I will do this practice every day at 7pm.

I'm making a tuna, bean and rice salad for dinner. I will also make a basil vinaigrette.

I have had 2 glasses of water.

I have to go to the supermarket to get olive oil, green beans and basil.

I went to the supermarket and did some shopping.

I made dinner.

I had a shower and washed my hair.

I cleaned my teeth.

I gave my hair a really good brush.

I drank some more water.

I took my antidepressants.

Your list of achievements yesterday @Arizona is really good.

I hope you're travelling ok today.

Have you heard the saying 'bird by bird'? It's from a book of that name by Anne Lamott ... As a child, Lamott's brother was once overwhelmed by a huge school project on birds. His father's simple yet profound advice was to take it “bird by bird,” or one small step at a time.

Hi @Arizona

Good to see you did many things yesterday.

Go easy on yourself and take it day by day, moment by moment.

The meditation sounds great!
