Struggling with being a carer in lockdown
Hi everyone, im struggling a fair bit with lockdown. we are up to week 8 and we still have at least 4 weeks to go yet but the trouble is the person i look after has dementia. he doesnt get it so i alway have to repeat myself so many times a day, hes always whinging about something (usually the same few things but i cant do anything about it) he doesnt understand the masks or the checking in. he is starting to get angry with me over things i cant control or do anything about.
i really dont even want to be in the same house right now so i spend my days studying outside away from him.
i dont really know what else do to. family ring him once a day-usually someone new and his mates that walk past stand out the front and talk to him so he still gets plenty of interaction and i still sake him for a walk etc outside when its safe to do so but im exhausted and i have a bad injury as well so even housework right now is hard.
i am just so drained. i am getting resentful as well.
