Shouldn't complain to you @Shaz51 - but I'm trying to come to terms with the power psychiatrists have over us.
I remember many years ago a young woman came out of my psychiatrist's office, very displeased, saying that she knew he'd make a bad report about her. I didn't take sides because I did not know what had gone on - how they had interacted. And I certainly didn't understand what she was saying at the time - I was still wearing my rose-coloured blinders. Move on twenty-five years and I'm feeling the same sentiment.
Go to them to help you deal with coming to terms with confusion from a trauma and suddenly I realize that a report will be sent to my current GP, probably with a long list of personality disorders. And he will be believed because they are the doctors. All I wanted was understanding and help to unravel this mess - come to terms with having my life destroyed. I don't know what to do if I don't continue. I may also be getting into other community programs in the coming weeks. I don't think they will help but I am desperate for human interaction with polite people in the real world. I'm running out of places to try.
I'm convinced that, according to psychiatrists, the general public is steeped in a vast array of personality disorders but doctors of all types are the only ones who are normal. In their eyes anyway. What a wonderful world that must be - for them.
I'm really sorry for all the things happening to you @Shaz51 - especially your latest. Wish I could drop by and give you a helping hand. Hope today has been kind to you. Sending love and best wishes. Hope you are doing alright and well in spirits. Cheers, my friend.
P.S. Sorry for the inappropriate rant to you, but my vantage point is very different to so many others. No-one else has to agree with my opinions. Sorry to have vented. Truly. Now you tell me - how are you doing, really?
Sending best wishes.
