Share a cuppa?
I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Hey there @Spirit_Healer 🙂🌺
Thank you☺️
Well, I was hoping the course might lead to more work opportunities in the area of mental health, supporting people who are living with multiple health challenges 🌺🙂💜
I used to work in allied health so this would be something a little different, but also using some of the same knowledge I used before ☺️

@tyme Yes, I think so. It was interesting...even before I considered it, other people already predicted it. I had my first episode when I studying at high school. I had taken 3 months off school and spent it in an adolescent psych ward. When I returned, I remember my maths teacher saying to me how my experiences would make me a more understanding person. At the time, I didn't really understand what she meant, because I just saw my MH challenges as a personal struggle that I didn't share. But now I realise, even if I don't share them, even just having experience of how difficult things can be gives me better insight into how I can help others. And how I just be helpful just by sitting with or listening to a struggling friend.
I even used my empathy with my friend the other day. She also has MH issues and has been feeling depressed after learning that her partner is being unfaithful. We talked at length and I felt powerless. The only things I can really do are listen and offer my perspective, without giving any false promises.

Hi @Former-Member I hope you are well.
The heat plus an 8 hour manual handling course (yesterday) - Left me feeling "Sensory Overload" & exhausted today.
So am hoping the weekend will help me to recover.
