Share a cuppa?

Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Re: Share a cuppa?

I did enjoy a cuppa before going to my appointment with my psych, and then while in waiting room we all had to evacuate the building because there was a fire in the underground car park. It wasn't serious, at least not for most of us, and I hope no one sustained serious damage to property, but none of us were physically hurt. I did get to have my appointment. How are you @Former-Member

Hey there @Abner 🙂🌺

Goodness me that sounds scary - firstly, I’m glad you’re safe 🙂🌺🙌🏻

And I’m glad you got to have your appointment 🙂

Yes, along with you I hope people and property were not hurt/undamaged, sounds like a very unexpected place for a fire to start.

Im ok thanks Abner 🙂🌺

just making my way through the day, working on tasks, plodding along like a Clydesdale ploughing fields 🐴 ☺️

Im about to have a coffee - the first for the day…made with milk slightly warmed in the bottom of the cup, then instant coffee with a bit of sugar, stirred, and then hot water added…this is my way of making a quick coffee at home (I don’t have a coffee machine, so I try to make it tasty and smooth - I experiment on ways to make instant like a shop-bought one! 🙂).

Do you have a way of making your coffee? ☺️

I also have a way of making tea…next time! ☺️🌺

Good morning @Former-Member @Abner

How are you guys.

I have been drinking iced coffee this morning

Re: Share a cuppa?

I don't have a way of making coffee @Former-Member, but I do have a way of making breakfast - I use day old oats, boiled in milk and mix it with Greek Style yoghurt, then I put in slices of two or three different types of fruit, sprinkle some chocolate and cherry flavoured protein powder, then drizzle some maple syrup over it, then have that with instant coffee and toast. I figure breakfast is the most important meal of the day so go all out on it. If you have a great breakfast you've set yourself up for the day.

I wasn't scared yesterday, I was calm as we were going down the fire escape. We all knew not to use the lifts. I thought wow all the skills I'd learned during school fire drills were kicking in and it made me realise how important those drills were. We used to think they were annoying, but they're actually very valuable. I feel very grateful to my old primary and high schools.

Tonight I'm going to a screening of The Sound of Music, I'm a guard for The Order of Perpetual Indulgence and we've organised this event as part of Mardi Gras. As a guard I'm responsible for security. It's going to be a good night!

Hi @Oaktree, how are you?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Sounds like a very good choice @Oaktree ☺️🌺

I just popped out for a little bit and it was 37C as per my cars ambient temp gauge…back home now, where it’s a bit cooler and a lot more tolerable 🙂🌺

im about to make a cup of tea… a little hot water in the bottom of the cup, then fill the kettle a bit more, while soaking the tea bag in the little bit of hot water in the cup. Boiled water poured directly on to strain through the bag, for instant strong tea. A bit of sugar, a splash of milk 🙂🙂

Re: Share a cuppa?

Those oats sound so tasty @Abner ! 😀🌺

I also feel that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, because it can set up the day nutritionally as well as emotionally sometimes..I feel good within myself if I eat something good to start the day 🌺🙂

That’s really great that your practiced fire drills kicked in and enabled you to safely exit! ☺️

I hope the screening of The Sound of Music goes well and you enjoy it 🙌🏻😀

I haven’t heard of The Order of Perpetual Indulgence before, and so I just googled it - looks like a lot of fun, with lots of meaning behind it 🙂🌺💜
