Share a cuppa?
I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

@Bow !
Collllllddddd here also! The frost on my car windscreen felt like it was a few cm thick this morning! Thought I needed a chisel and start chiselling away!
I'm so proud of you for sticking to the DBT group. Group therapy has a lot of benefits, but it can also bring up a lot of big feelings.
I'd love to hear how you think it helped/didn't help a few months after the completion. From experience, DBT skills need time for practise, so I don't think one can judge a DBT therapy group immediately after completion. What do you think?
Also, it seems like good timing before you put on your wings for your grand trip!

I'm using an Android mobile phone. I figure that if I wait untill it's stopped jumping around I'll be ok, but it still takes a while. Any way right now so far so good. I've just finished some German homework; I find study a great coping mechanism for my mental health issues and living skill. I've started a Language Library at my church collecting books on Aboriginal languages, Wiradjuri, Arrernte, Bidjigal...and discussed that tonight after vespers. If anyone has any books you're willing to contribute that would be much appreciated.

Morning @Abner,
Sorry to hear you're having issues with the Forums site. I just tried accessing the Forums using my Android phone (Samsung) and I didn't encounter any issues. I wonder if you're using an older model and whether you have done the necessary updates on your phone to ensure your experience is as glitch free as possible?
Love that you've identified that studying is a protective factor for your mental health, it is for me too 😊 Really loving though that you took the initiative to start a Language Library at your church – what a brilliant idea. It's an area I must admit I know very little about, but having studied language processing in my degree, I find fascinating. Perhaps you'd be open to sharing with us here in the Forums community some of your knowledge on the topic? I suspect there may be many who would value from a thread on knowledge more broadly, and how learning can be utilised as a coping skill for mental health.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, as well as how you're going with your android.

Thanks @tyme I’m pleased I stuck with it despite it being an uncomfortable experience most weeks. Yesterday I freaked out and wanted to run when I was the only one that turned up. Thankfully 2 others arrived late.
Yes, I think it will take time to practice the skills. In saying that, I’d really like to do the group again. I’ve had so much going on for myself that I don’t think I wanna sable to take in as much as I probably could. And maybe with a different group of people I would feel a bit more comfortable? Anyways, I flagged that with my psychologist who will mention it to the facilitator.
And yep, good timing with it finishing just before I leave!

I was up until 4 o'clock this morning catching up on German and music homework, so I'm very tired. I'm glad I caught up on it though, I was getting a bit behind. I haven't much to do today except some housework and exercise, so I'll take it easy I've had a nice breakfast of sausages, fried egg, tomato and mushrooms washed down with a lovely brewed coffee. I'm having carrot soup with lunch. I hope today's a good day for all of you. Guten Tag, viel Spaß!
