Morning @Shaz51

Just trying to catch up on post after being away. I went on hols to Melbourne and had an amazing time but picked up covid....urgh. Felt so rotten but feeling a bit better today. Sorry to read you've been struggling with things about your mum and Mr Shaz. Say hi when you get on today. Looking forward to catching you.

Hugs

Hanami

Good afternoon @Shaz51, @tyme, @Oaktree and all, I hope you're all having a lovely day. I'm listening to a beautiful septet by Beethoven, performed at the City Recital Hall, in Sydney a couple of years ago. I prefer listening to music to working on my emotional state. My psychologist calls it unhooking. Sometimes I call it unplugging.

Hello @Meowmy

I love that winter sun! I actually sat outside this morning and ate breakfast. Out the back of our house the winter sun is so nice.

Hope your work day is going well

I heard a very good Bluegrass rendition of Beethoven's 5th, and 9th symphonies the day @Shaz51...and today I'm listening to lecture which is about the relationship between Schubert's Winterreise and the last string quartet Beethoven wrote.

I'd love to see what you both think of the bluegrass Beethoven, @Shaz51.

@Abner @Bow @hanami @Shaz51 @ArraDreaming hello everyone, hope you're all having a good evening. Love a cuppa. Not too well at the moment. Very tense and uptight. Hope it will get better soon. Take care all

Hi @Meowmy

Sorry you are not feeling too good. I tried parsnip for the first time tonight, I had it roasted with just a bit of canola oil. Hubby didn’t add herbs so I could taste and appreciate the parsnip flavour. It wasn’t bad but now I don’t feel like dinner.

Here’s a cuppa and a biscuit for you!

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Meowmy, I hope you feel better soon, I've just seen a lovely Tedtalk about gender performativity, in it the speaker says we can play with gender performativity, and give ourselves space to fail and enjoy failing, appreciate it's merits, so we can see what we want to get out of trying, explore the failures to see what we mean by success. I think we think of success and failure as opposites, but they're not, they come together; a famous businessman once said we're all failures - the opposite of success is doing nothing. I rather like that approach.
