Share a cuppa?
I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Let me know if you end up giving it a go! Or if you find anything else that is a good watch, I'm always looking for something good to add to my list @ArraDreaming
Not much has been happening for me, just prepping for Christmas on the weekend, and this is my last week at work before I can have a week off next week. I am going away to the beach about an hour away for a few days which I am very excited about. I am actually not a big traveller, I am a homebody at best and always get homesick, but I am actually excited to get out of my bubble for a bit.
Do you have anything planned for the new year/ end of year?

That will be great! @amber22
my dyslexic brain read that last part as “get out of my bauble for a bit” and I actually cracked up laughing I thought that was a Christmas pun but no, I am just stupid ha
No, we wanted to go away but I can’t get the time off, I am working all the way through, not every day but we aren’t closing, only for PH, I’ve put a pause on picking up jobs for myself for a few weeks but will still be at the nursery. we are planning to go away hopefully around March though instead
we will go and spend a couple of days with my partners family though about 2 hours away but that’s all we’ve got planned

Hahaha I wish I had made that Christmas pun!! @ArraDreaming I am a sucker for puns.
I hope that the Christmas period isn't too busy for you considering that you are working most days, make sure to take some time off when you can to rest and spend time with family (and your new wife!!) between your shifts. That sounds great, going away in March is nice because it gives you a proper break once you have entered the new year.
I hope you have a lovely time with your partners family, that will really nice 🙂

I only work part time so lots of time to spend with the family!
It’s so weird I’m so fatigued like physically I could just lay here forever but I don’t feel sleepy @amber22

Yay I'm so glad to hear that! @ArraDreaming
Ah yes I know exactly the feeling. Have you tried watching something, or reading? I have the Headspace app where I listen to their podcasts on and some of the people have such calming voices. I struggle to meditate because my brain doesn't like to calm itself, so I listen to the podcasts on there as I can try focus on them and I find them to be really relaxing even though they aren't meant to put you to sleep, most of the time they do for me. I think that they have a free trial for 7 days if you ever wanted to try that. Or there are lots of sleep podcasts on Spotify for free

I’m not wanting to go sleep that badly it’s only 10pm but it’s weird because I am so tired I could just sleep, it’s weird, it’s like physical exhaustion but not mental
good suggestions I just really struggle with meditation

Good morning! @ArraDreaming @Bow @Meowmy @Shaz51 @mr-robot-75 and everyone online these lovely forums this morning 🙂
How was everyone's sleep? I hope you all had a restful night.
Totally agree @ArraDreaming meditation is hard, especially when your mind is racing. I really struggle with it which is why I opt to listening to podcasts instead as I find that they have a bit more substance to them and do pretty much the same thing! Do you have much planned for today?

@amber22 Yeah there’s just something about it, even during my counselling sessions if they ever try to put on or do meditation I just cringe, I physically cannot stand it, I don’t know if it’s the voices on the recording, I don’t know I just can’t 😅 once I went to a meditation class and fell asleep so obviously that worked
Not a lot planned just took the kids for a walk and a play at the oval, not sure what we’ll all do later, it’s a nice day here, my partner has ducked out to do some last minute Christmas jobs so I’ll probably just hang out with the kids untill she gets back, have a few things I have to do around the house Anyway
what about you? Christmas shopping done?

Haha I definitely relate, I really have to be in a 'meditation mood' because if I am not then my mind won't stand a bar of it @ArraDreaming
That sounds like a lovely morning, do you have much planned for the Christmas period with your family? It is such a busy week for me - I am working and then also trying to get last minute shopping organised as well, I should have been more organised than I am!!
I hope you have a good day today with the kids 🙂
