Share a cuppa?

Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Hi everyone. Just chilled out watching Engineering Reborn and will probably have an early night. Today was the first day in a while that I've actually felt human (had a cold for the past 6 days). Was going to go out this evening but I'm doing my old man act and having an early night lol.

How's everyone doing ? Once again here with my Earl Grey night time cuppa 🙂

Yeah ... just out there acting young again was good @creative_writer - after all, I not one for physical activity. But just watching kids have fun, I wanted to join 🙂

Hehehe. You're body will tell you when you need to pull out the old man act @mr-robot-75 -

Here's your Earl Grey:

You know what @mr-robot-75 ? I used to love Earl Grey... until I found Lady Grey - then realised I wanted to be a 'Lady' more than an 'Earl'

I was watching different age groups engage in all sorts of sports @creative_writer ... to be honest, I have seen a huge shift in resilience and gross motor skills since COVID lockdowns. They just don't seem to have the resilience nor the gross motor skills anymore!

Re: Share a cuppa?

@tyme that totally makes sense. Kids need interactions since they are at a critical stage of development.

Thanks @tyme!

I struggle enough to be an Earl sometimes !!! I normally just plump for gentleman lol!

Lol @mr-robot-75 - I can't say that I'm too much of a 'lady' either.... preferring to sit cross-legged on a chair....or on the floor.

Did you get up to anything interesting today?

Lol @tyme

Not a great deal - I jotted down some things I must achieve over the holiday period as I'm now finished up for the year.

I also had a good chat with a friend about some issues that are bothering both of us - we have a joint friend who we're a bit concerned about so we were trying to work out ways of handling the issues he's causing !! Nothing serious but just stuff we need to tackle him about before he ends up causing himself real trouble (not with us!)

And then .. don't laugh... I had a bath. I find that having a bath seems to settle the anxiety and shuts my brain down for a while. Not sure why but it works for me so I use it when I need to.

It sounds like you've had a busy one today trying to marshall young ones? 😀

Re: Share a cuppa?

Yeah, kids are tough things @mr-robot-75 . But I just like watching them play - and just be kids!

I'm going to take my nieces and nephew for a walk later, and maybe to the park because the weather is so pleasant.

As for taking a bath, why not? I love baths. Either I've grown or bath tubs are getting smaller, but I like to fully submerge myself in a bath.

Speaking of which... have you tried floatation therapy? OMG! It's like the most awesome thing in town. It's sooo awesome just lying there. Your skin gets so smooth. I prefer having with music. Your post reminds me, I should try and book in another session over the holiday break. Wonder if they are open. But yes, I'd highly recommend it. Only thing I found difficult was lying still for 45mins. I'm not used to not doing anything for long stretches of time. They have the option of 45min, 60min or 90min sessions. I'd definitely go for only the 45min session.

Anyway, any plans today?
