Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @tyme, I went to Q+A with my question shortlisted ready to ask it, but they ended up not having time for it, but I got to show Grace Tame my question and it was a really positive and affirming experience. She confirmed that the defamation I've suffered is a tactic that sex offenders use to deflect people's focus from their own activities, and they encourage people to make false accusations because that helps discredit people who really are survivors of sex crimes, because people will think "This person may not be telling the truth.". She also said that LGBT people are one of the groups particularly targeted with false sex offence charges.

Re: Share a cuppa?

It's a very murky issue, and the defamation I suffered destroyed a lot of my personality. The person I would've today is dead, but the person I am now is better equipped to deal with the constant defaming I'll probably have to deal with for the rest of my life.

That's an incredible way of framing it @Abner . I admire you for that.

Re: Share a cuppa?

There'll always be people who think I'm a sex offender, and I'm learning not to take them seriously, even if they're dangerous, because frankly taking them seriously won't make them any less dangerous, and it'll only harm my quality of life.

Wow, @Abner sounds really interesting. I'm so glad you still got to show her your question and that you had such a positive experience. Really great!

TW: SA, Rape

I think everyone should know about this because all it takes is for a couple of people to spread a false rumour of a sex offence, and suddenly you've got a whole lot of people looking in one direction, meanwhile they're not looking at the paedophile who's grooming children -perhaps even their children - or the person who actually is raping people.

Hello @tyme , @hanami , @moderator

Tomorrow is the big day for my darling husband

He wants to enjoy the day of his mum's birthday with a few beers and is worried about being judged which is so sad as other family members will be drinking and for me having diabetes and kidney disease and other health problems
