Share a cuppa?
I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Hi @Eve7. My pleasure in greeting you. Had a good day thanks, did some gardening and sorted out some stored possessions - bit of a spring clean.
How about you how was your day ? 😊

Just watching some tv here @tyme and waiting for daughter to go to bed so I can go myself.
We had indian for dinner and I’m really full, so can’t fit in a drink either!

Hi @tyme

Hi @Former-Member ,
Thanks for your reply. Just trying to slow down and relax a bit. I work in Law Enforcement. May I ask what type of work you do. I can't say too much on here. I am truly grateful to have full time work. I just wish people could lower aggression, lift respect towards others and simply work as a team. The money earned offers no consolation for the emotional trauma. I feel more drawn every day to study counselling and reiki. I honestly feel my self esteem is going in not following my soul. Unfortunately, without money there are not many options. I have seen study I could enrol in while still working but the fees are way out of reach. I am sorry to hear about the side effects of your medication. It's great you did some gardening. Excercise you enjoy does help. I have had severe trauma last year and being depressed definitely contributed to my major weight gain. It's also motivation is lacking but I know I need to lose that weight. Trying to minimise how much I eat but i feel sedentary desk work doesn't help. Hoping to buy a kettle weight and lose some ab weight.

Not up to too much @Former-Member - just some admin work and getting things sorted 🙂
Actually, I think I'm getting my brain sorted for the week ahead 🙂

Hey @tyme ok today, still watching the photos and pages closely, but finding it hard to decipher what’s happening where when you can’t see it in the flesh people are posting maps but without knowing the area well it’s too hard, but we found out everyone we know has evacuated which is comforting in a way. It’s just going to be a long few days maybe even couple of weeks, don’t know if you have been reading about it where this is all happening is 3 river systems so essentially three different floods/problems, the rivers at some stage all feed into one so in possibly a few days it could get very bad in some areas . As soon as we think oh this person is out of the woods we look at the map and realise someone else’s area is red. Nothing we can do from here but sit and watch. We are ok, just sad. We had a nice day out today as a family but it’s lingering sadness.

Please know that you feeling sad is perfectly acceptable @ArraDreaming . It is not a weird thing. I guess floods seem far removed from me, but today someone showed me a photo of a restaurant I've been to a number of times. It is completely submerged bar the roof. Then the realisation hit. It's so close to home.
If it is really upsetting you, maybe it's not such a good idea to watch the locations becoming red alerts....
I'm glad you were able to spend some time out today.
