Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

At least it's nice to try something new. Even if you find you don't like it, at least you'll know @Bow.

I'm here, sitting with you @ArraDreaming . I hope you are okay. I hear you are very down about something. I'm here if you need a chat.

Sorry to that @ArraDreaming, would you like to chat about it? I'm here, for awhile at least, I'm tired and will eventually go to bed, but I have some time.

@Abner @Bow @tyme

The Victorian floods have got to my partners family, she has family that are safe down the coast, but family up north who are not most houses have gone under and others evacuated.
Such a helpless thing sitting in your dry house 3 hours away. And she’s so upset and so am I. Nothing we can do from down here. Just feel so sad.

I think I just need a chat and a distraction tonight

That's a really harshly difficult predicament to be in, for the moment hold each other close, and stay safe yourselves.

TW: Loss due to natural disasters

I'm hearing and listening @ArraDreaming . I cannot honestly say I know what it is like, but I know @Shaz51 can (please let me know if you'd rather not talk about it).

I was only speaking to someone the other night who was in utter depression because their house was flooded out earlier this year. They had only just purchased the house, and within a few weeks of moving in, they lost everything.

I wish I could stop it. It is happening everywhere.

For tonight, you are right - I think it is about having a distraction. However, it's also important to validate what you are feeling.

Sitting with you, tyme
