Share a cuppa?

Share a cuppa?

I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

Hi @tyme ,

Started at 1730 and here until 1730. I can't say much about what I do. I'm all alone here now though.

Hi @Abner ,

That's great you are practicing self care, it's so important. You also have so many supports in life. Looking after your appearance does so much. Lol I need to colour my hair. Tried to open a bottle of peroxide and not even my partner can get it open. Try new ways I guess. I can't afford a salon right now. Kind of vain about white hair when I still feel much younger.

I realised you couldn't say much @Paulette - At least you don't have to face colleagues tonight?

I'll catch up with you later in the week. Please take care.

Hi @tyme

Sadly just a nasty male colleague for a short time at hand over. I ignored him as best I could. He is perfect in being underhand. Thanks. I finish at 0530 not 1730.

That's funny, I struggled with a tub of beard butter the other day, finally got it open after five minutes and a really sore left hand.

It's not just about having supports, it's also about being able to tell people your pain. You can have all the support in the world, but you can't tell your friends about your pain because they're all telling you not talk to them about it because they're triggered by it then you have no connection, and then you ask yourself what's friendship for, because it becomes pointless anyway.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Abner ,

I am on here as I am completely and permanently estranged from family. I only confide in one friend about my mental health. My support is on here. It's the only place I have ever not received judgement, scorn, anger and all out hate. I don't know where I'd be without the support I have here. I so wish my parents could have loved me but it's clear they never could. So I have love for my partner who doesn't do judgement but practises love every day toward me. Sometimes we find acceptance and kindness in places other than where we think we will. Take care.

Hi @Abner ,

I'm sorry to hear that. So frustrating. Glad you got the better of your beard butter. Need moisturiser on sore hand.

I quite agree. It's good to finally be able to talk about the defamation and ensuing traumas as well as other things like pepper chicken risotto, rather than only being allowed to talk about other things. I do like to talk about all sorts, like the concert I went to the other evening at which I saw a valued music colleague I hadn't seen in years because she'd been overseas for so long...and she was so glad to see me too... I always undervalue myself as a musician, and it's really affirming professionally to experience a fellow musician welcoming me so spontaneously.

That beard butter is a good beard butter, it's handmade, organic, and it's sweet coffee scented too, which is very ironic, don't you think?
