Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I love receiving letters, cards and postcodes.

Often received; if written by someone on holiday; days after that person has returned home.

Use this space however you like as though you are writing a letter to someone with whom you relate to in real life.

You might want to say something to that person, or persons and not be given the opportunity.

Families can be so very judgemental and cause much hurt and pain.

This is a way of writing to tell someone how you truly feel; good or bad.

Just read along if this is not your style.

Carry on with your own preference of using the forums.

This is just an idea.

Sometimes we do not know that we might enjoy something different unless we try.

Writing letters can be very therapeutic and a special way of releasing pent up feelings without the person knowing.

Lastly, in writing a letter, you need not put their name or title.

You might like to address the letter as dear friend, or dear family member; dear doctor; dear psychiatrist; dear pet.

Think outside of the square and write about what you would really like to say.

Good luck

Sophia

Dear lady and little girl with no name.

@Sophia1

There is nothing to apologise for.

People are not fun machines, although as a mum I felt I was expected to provide endless fun for kids, so can relate to the sense of responsibility about it.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Appleblossom @HenryX @Flax @Shaz51 @Oaktree @Adge @Exoplanet

I am here.....

short on words....wow...you are all thinking....'

she really is not herself...

you are quite correct...I am not...

I am not going to fudge it either as I do not believe creative writing is about writing under feelings of obligation or duress...

However...on a much lighter note...as I really hate serious stuff...

I really am a little girl with all of the mischief and imagination...

The photographs of the Sooty at different stages were lovely....Is Sooty really yours? are they genuinely your Sooty?

Does not matter if they are not...just curious...

tis moi....

I was so very very close to sharing a photograph of my puddy tat when very young with a youngish version of me holding him...only photograph that I had...then confidentiality...privacy...hmmm.

was tempted with ....I will post this very quickly for one hour say...then delete...that is if I can do that...

or set up a time with Flax and Sooty fans...

too hard...time difference...work..commitments....

yes...well it is a virtual boring world sometimes...how odd..similar to life as in real world sometimes...

I apologise please keep up with the stories...

I genuinely have read them....just cannot recall to write a story and tie them in..

@HenryX you did a wonderful job...I read most...then mind said very tired..

other contributions so interesting also...easily can be followed on from at any time...now if you all choose to or at a later time

so I might just write something that has nothing to do with anything within the next few days...will of course make no sense...no connection with current story....then well we are on this forum...as well as it is still being creative...hahaha

I will of course expect you all to just carry on and write around my offerings..

That is what the thread is about..

Not getting it right..

Not perfection...

Not being a specific person categorically..

purely imagination...

Thank you all...each and everyone of you lovely folk for continuing with the idea of the virtual post....

letters of gratitude sent to you all delivered I hope by our very own @Adge who not only has a diploma in master bat post person...also horticulture...censor delivery dealing with the failings of the government timing and support ...

as well as many other skills up his sleeves..

night night

Sophia 💛

Dear @Sophia1

A postcard from the edge:

The Sooty photo album was just a cheer you up....I once had a black cat many, many years ago (like as a kid).

I just did a google and some research to find little Sooty pics in life stages for a bit of fun and to lighten things up...I have to admit I chuckled at the thought of Sooty's photoshopped Tinder pic - at least 10 years younger and mega cute. Sometimes this forum (SANE) is way too depressing; not this thread, just other discussions in other spaces.

There is a new Sooty adventure...

Very light, and typical naughty Sooty

Do not worry if your not travelling well, that's life in the real world.

Just for info for others: I've discovered an amazing website/forum for people who would like to write creatively or just tell some random stories. 60K+ members globally, and its sort of @Sophia1's idea on steroids...think lots of creative imrov threads in just one space covering every genre. I'm thinking @HenryX might find a comfortable niche there; https://absolutewrite.com/

You take care @Sophia1

🌷🌻🌷

@Oaktree & @Shaz51 you guys might find the above forum interesting as well....its not MH related, just people who like to write, share and are pretty nice and supportive - for newbies anyway.

Even better, you can block annoying people - my biggest criticism of sane.org; no way to block out people who's comments are distressing or simply drivel and you just dont want to see them pop up in a thread.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

@HenryX

Ever had an epiphany - I looked at this website/forum,https://absolutewrite.com/ and thought I know a guy who might like this...

I spent several hours checking it out (plus googling safety, legitimacy and quality)... then I thought HenryX heaven, or least there is a niche that you'd love. It might take a some time to find that niche considering the huge scope of this particualr writers forum.

I believe its the biggest forum for writers from novice to semi-pro on the internet covering so many areas, some I've never heard of. Pretty sure you'll find an outlet.

Your friend

Flax

PS - I joined and shared a bit of Sooty. lol
