Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I love receiving letters, cards and postcodes.

Often received; if written by someone on holiday; days after that person has returned home.

Use this space however you like as though you are writing a letter to someone with whom you relate to in real life.

You might want to say something to that person, or persons and not be given the opportunity.

Families can be so very judgemental and cause much hurt and pain.

This is a way of writing to tell someone how you truly feel; good or bad.

Just read along if this is not your style.

Carry on with your own preference of using the forums.

This is just an idea.

Sometimes we do not know that we might enjoy something different unless we try.

Writing letters can be very therapeutic and a special way of releasing pent up feelings without the person knowing.

Lastly, in writing a letter, you need not put their name or title.

You might like to address the letter as dear friend, or dear family member; dear doctor; dear psychiatrist; dear pet.

Think outside of the square and write about what you would really like to say.

Good luck

Sophia

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello, I have had some of the rarest birds in Australia visit me in my garden. One time, my friend, who has an intellectual disability, and I were sitting on my verandah doing some art together, when a scarlet homewares dropped in on the bottlenecks just in front of us. It was so nice.

Dear Friend,

I am indeed thrilled that you have accepted the invitation to come and join this letter writing thread. How are you today my friend? I believe you went to a car show today? How was that? What kinds of cars were on show?
I didn't do anything today, didn't get out of bed till after 2pm and spent the day in my pyjamas although I did have 2 showers. Sitting in front of the heater now. It's quite cold here now.
Feel free to read back all the previous letters and jump in as though you were here all along. You haven't missed much as @Sophia1 only created this space yesterday I believe. Most of our letters have been short. All the best.

All my love,

Eeyore

by the way we are using pseudonyms for our letters which is different to our anonymous tags just for a bit of added whimsy. We are Pooh Bear and his band of friends although it is possible to make up a new character to befriend us with

Dear Friend,

Sounds like a wonderful and interesting car show. Lots of rare and old beauties. I am glad that you have had a lovely day and a couple of wines sounds like a good way to unwind. I hope you have a chill day tomorrow. Have a goodnight friend, don't let the bed bugs bite - see you in the morning light!

All my love

Dear Friend,

Looks like Pooh is a bit late for our band.

Been busy catching the bees,

all weekend.

Trying to slim down again,

but no no, I can't.

@Sophia1

Hello dear Tigger friend,

glad to have you back in the band.

Would definitely love a picnic every now and then.

Can we meet in the cave up the hill,

round the bend?

@Oaktree

Hello dear Eeyore friend,

you need not worry about interruption

every now and then.

We will all have our turn,

I am sure no one gets left behind.

@Emelia8 .

Hello dear shy friend,

hiding behind a tree,

living deep in a bushland.

Could you be dear Piglet,

our missing shy friend?

@Anastasia

Hello dear new friend,

you must be our old wise one,

thinking deep to put words down.

Could you have been dear Owl,

our missing wise friend?

@Ripples

Hello dear new friend,

Living in the bush,

with roos as friends.

I hear you make arts

splashing some paints.

Would you be the artistic Roo

and join our band?

@Shaz51

Hello dear new friend,

Aren't you Christopher Robin,

our new human friend?

Would love to listen to your story

whenever you have time

and if you can.

@NatureLover

Hello dear new friend,

You popped in and left again.

Would love to invite you into our band,

could you be our down to earth,

Kanga friend?

Pooh loves all sorts friends.

Pooh is grateful and sincere

to all of them.

Let our friendship not be defined,

without boundaries shall we shine.

Yours Pooh Bear,

Always
