Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I love receiving letters, cards and postcodes.

Often received; if written by someone on holiday; days after that person has returned home.

Use this space however you like as though you are writing a letter to someone with whom you relate to in real life.

You might want to say something to that person, or persons and not be given the opportunity.

Families can be so very judgemental and cause much hurt and pain.

This is a way of writing to tell someone how you truly feel; good or bad.

Just read along if this is not your style.

Carry on with your own preference of using the forums.

This is just an idea.

Sometimes we do not know that we might enjoy something different unless we try.

Writing letters can be very therapeutic and a special way of releasing pent up feelings without the person knowing.

Lastly, in writing a letter, you need not put their name or title.

You might like to address the letter as dear friend, or dear family member; dear doctor; dear psychiatrist; dear pet.

Think outside of the square and write about what you would really like to say.

Good luck

Sophia

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Only just saw your very last post @Sophia1 .

Oh dear it is a bit grim. Well give a it few more days, I can save 'Sooty joins the Roman Legions' because I don't think we have any fellas left, except moi nad Geoffrey Rush. Maybe a vignette in the next plot line. If you decide to go that way. This is your baby so its your call. I'll suport whatever you decide to do, just I'm not around much.

Flax

These are for you @Sophia1 for doing such a great job 🌹🌼🌻

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Shaz51 @Oaktree @Flax @NatureLover @HenryX

Thank you all for getting back to me.

I think that perhaps @Adge might be still interested just a little worn out at present.

Also others hence I tried to write it into the story about the meeting.

I am not feeling glum or grim at all laugh @Flax

I am just thinking why keep on writing a story to myself 😁

Supports are always welcome but do not keep the flow of the story continuing.

Hence, if going nowhere better to be honest and ask; am always about being open and honest.

No harm done at all. Just my way of expressing myself.

We have several still interested which is great.

I agree the story did become boring, written by self mainly in latter days to several leaving for their own reasons which are totally understood by me.

I do not feel that people should feel obliged to keep on following.

So as far as storyline goes.

I have had one suggestion from Meggle re licence plate.

I have another suggestion or several from Flax re Roman army which could become very involved if you are not on here that often.

We could actually just start a completely different story.

How about that folks?

I also understand at the same time we are not a writing group forum we are people visiting and responding to the Lived Experience side of Sane.

So it is not going to flow like something about to be published.....

Let's just get back to some fun.

Any ideas?......

@Oaktree did you know that there is a meggles shall I invite them as well? no better not.....

@Shaz51

@NatureLover you have done a brilliant job of keeping the story reasonably readable....I think that I have been all over the place...following my mindset....hence Tigger works for me ha ha......

@Flax you have some fabulous ideas ....let's put them to the group......

@Adge are you still with us or have you had enough? will not be offended if you are no longer interested.

@HenryX

shall we change the title as is

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

am loving this coloured writing and am now skilled in changing back to black

thank you so much Henry Rush or @HenryX you might be someone else if you continue on this thread.

Read above.

Please all reply with your thoughts so that I can get something up and running.

Thanking you all very much in advance for all of your support and efforts ....sounds like I am accepting an Oscar or Nobel Peace award.....hmmm not with this story...

look forward to your replies as soon as you can and what emerges...

I would love to keep writing about something even if just with a few.

Sophia thanking you 💛💚🧡🤗😁😊😉

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hi Tigger @Sophia1 Yes definitely still interested, sorry I'm utterly exhausted.

If I was Tigger - I would be totally "Bounceless".

Mostly physical, also one emotional setback after another.

"Here's a Training/ Job Opportunity - No we've taken it away".

Several today.

You're not just writing to yourself - Several people are Reading it.

Sorry you did not like my License Plate Suggestion.

OOOh you're getting a Nobel Peace Prize or an Oscar - Excellent, I like that possibility...

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello @Adge

Unusual for me to be on the forums at this time. I was writing to exoplanet.

Then I found your support.

I have read about your ordeal with the vaccine situation. The problem is that our country, no country is prepared for some dreadful life threatening virus that can mutate. This country has done far better in closing borders. Then again the population and built up areas is vastly different in comparison.

I hope that you have not had any symptoms. My husband did not. I also hope that this will ease your anxiety somewhat for a while also. I am not sure if Perth is still in lockdown or not.

I love Perth. Would love to live there if did not have family here.

What are your thoughts in continuing to contribute to a story about something in a lighthearted, fun, silly way.

Are you still interested or bored or just too busy?

I am trying to work out where to go from here because I felt as though there were just two of us writing in the end.

I am just trying to find out from everyone who hits support what they want to do moving forward.

What are your thoughts?

Tigger ....well Sophia really 💚

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

aaaahhh @Adge

You can see that my computer skills are still lacking despite some persistence in training from @HenryX

I have learnt colour....yeah...

I had not seen your reply...

I click on the notification and reply to that message...hence miss those thereafter..

.afterthought....read to the end of the thread if can remember.

Yes I can totally understand how depleting that must feel. I remember attending a job provider interview with my younger son who had just finished some government incentive apprenticeship, leading nowhere except unpaid labour. To cut a long story short I marched into centrelink with him, calmly but firmly explaining the situation and then the job provider as well and he received a substantial amount of backpay.

Keeping calm, assertive and persistent can pay off at times. Not always.

These days, I am still assertive, persistent alongside my anxiety. I still get heard.

It is very tiring though and if you do not have the energy to follow through with being assertive I understand that also.

ps I had noticed your suggestion about the license plate; at the same time was questioning whether any others were continuing. Would you still want to write to a sinking ship so to speak?

No I will definitely not win any literary prices or as a group at this stage as all over the place then again we are on a lived experience forum of Sane so why should we expect otherwise.

I would be the first to confuse many.

We can try and have some fun though if we want to and that is what I am trying to establish. So am thrilled to hear that you also are still interested.

Have no idea at this present time where the story is going.

As you can imagine receiving different messages from different people at varying times with different suggestions is somewhat mind boggling.

I am still not glum or grim though a someone thought, not knowing me.

Purely my way of expressing myself is different to others which is fine as I can laugh at myself.

So we shall go onwards.

If you would like to say whether or not you would like to be involved in a different story, for my part, still fun, not too serious, please do so or if you want to continue on with the same i need to confirm with others. If you are open to anything that would be graciously accepted and make life so very much easier with this form of communication.

Tigger your friend 💛sunshine for your heart

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Thanks @Sophia1 Tiger.

Oh but I Want you to Win a Literary Pize - & @Oaktree & @Shaz51 & @Flax & @HenryX

Sorry if I left anyone out.

I needed to be in Bed Asleep 1 hour ago - No brain power left.

Maybe need more Fish Burgers (with Salad & hot Chilli Sauce) or some Jalapeno Chillies - That might help...

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

so if my finger still work I am surmising that there might be six definites as follows just to confirm.

Yes still trying to get definites.

Like trying to organise the christmas dinner outing at work.

I did it for several years then got fed up of having folder 1 folder 2 (as folder 1 has gone missing), hunting down folder 2 to find sitting in person's work basket on top of prior folder 1.

Enthusiasm lacking from majority I cannot begin to put into words.

Then criticisms suddenly forthcoming from every direction when final venue chosen with menus and price lists.

So once again without further ado, (no not glum or grim....my dry humour), there are including myself the following definites:

@Sophia1 @Meggles @NatureLover @Shaz51 @Flax @Adge

Yes we now need to agree on story..........,

Start afresh, with new bounce, fun and originality.............

create our own characters therefore have more insight about writing an ongoing sequence to the story....

change the title of thread to story and or letter writing virtually or other suggestions as in very soon......

Will await your replies as soon as possible please without any pressure of course.,,,

Sophia (previously , temporarily Tigger who loved to bounce and have fun)

Sophia wants fun.....

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

We are definitely aiming for a literary prize come what may if we can just sort out what we are writing about and who is who ...

You are officially approved as a literary subscriber to what is currently called "writing and receiving letters via virtual post" which could be changed at any time forthwith....

sigh.....

yes still smiling...a tad tired now as is Adge who I believe has gone to bed so sshhhh do not speak to loudly we do not want to wake him up he is exhausted and needs a good night's sleep.

The elves at the bottom of the garden will be along shortly to make sure that you are nicely tucked in an sleeping deeply whilst they delve through eveything in your room and create total mischief...

kidding 🙃

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

On a particular day, Pooh Bear was certain that Piglet had stolen his honey.

All his honey jars were empty.

What a calamity...

Then it was carefully explained to Pooh that he had in fact eaten all of the honey himself- during one of his midnight Snack Attacks....

To be continued.....
