I need to ask questions about mental health symptoms

I need to ask questions about mental health symptoms

hi everyone Im starting to wonder whats going on with me is it possible all this stress has caused me to be manic or bipolar or obsevive complusive, anxiety ? I mean is it common with bipolar to find yourself shaking with fear and anxiety, overthinking and not being able to regulate your own emotions and is bipolar or something easily cause you to get so angry that your swearing and then at other times you withdraw stayng in your room or bed ? could it be Im putting way too much stress on myself to find a relationship and its causing my mental health to go down hill maybe at times manic and other times depressive ? is it possible that overthinking about subject is causing me to be paronoid or am I being paronoid for saying this now, maybe everything my minds thinking is wrong or most things due to the amount of stress Im putting on myself I think its time for me to check the facts fact one I met someone whom I liked and got physical with, fact two I was very close to the guy at times and other times I dint let him close to me Ive had times of feeling physically cold,Ive lashed out swearing at my family,Ive withdrawn or felt like Im bothering my family too much,Ive slept alot ,Ive mainly had trouble regulating my emotions,Ive had thoughts of suicide when feeling sulky in my room or in bed,I tend to lay awake thinking,Im so hard on myself for things that arnt in my controll,is it possible feeling infatuated by someone caused a manic state

Hi @Truffles tonight Im feeling much better, more incontrol of my emotions,I think the key is for me to take a step back and distract myself when emotions get too overwhelming, also I for some reason slept half the day today, but functioned better after that, also someone whom Ive been waiting days to hear back from finally contacted me today which helped to ease stress, thank you for checking in

This may or may not be useful. The thing I just found out about is the "default mode network". It's like our self-reflection machine (or something like that). Gives us a lot of our depth but sometimes puts us down too deep (obsession, depression those sorts of things). I think it's why all the mind-health people try to encourage mindful hobbies and the like.

Like, you say, taking a step back and having a look at the larger world is what's it's all about.

Less judgement = clearer data

Hey @LostAngel

First of all I'm glad to hear you are doing a bit better.
Secondly I'm so sorry you have been struggling so much lately. Mental health symptoms and diagnosis is a very complicated and difficult situation.
Have you spoken to a doctor or counsellor about how you feel?

I can identify with your frustration and confusion because I've felt that way myself and still do to a certain degree at times. But I've also learned over the years that symptoms can be very tricky and self diagnosis is never a good idea because we can never truly tell whether it's the symptoms calling the shots in our heads or our logic mind trying to help us.
My advice would be to go see your doctor and talk about what you are going through. Have them refer you to someone who can help you work out what is going on.
Don't try to diagnose or fix things on your own without medical support, especially considering you've stated you have suicidal thoughts at times. I've been down the "Lone Wolf, I'll figure it out for myself route". It never helps. For me all it did was prolong my agony. I feel so much better with a support team behind me now.
In the meantime if you need support to get through difficult times you will find the forums here a safe & friendly haven.
I wish you well and hope you find the help you need. Take care of yourself xx
