can't cope and trying to reach out to people

can't cope and trying to reach out to people

I'm finding it hard to cope with life, stress and daily struggles with my issues. Then throw mental depression and anxiety in on it and I'm so emotional and negative and I don't know where to turn too. I don't know where to turn too and I feel so isolated. What do I do?????

@woody1980. When we have depression and anxiety, we can't cope with stress. That's part of the depression. But you can get better.
If you go and see your gp as soon as you can & explain how you are not coping. Your gp won't judge you but will be able to get you the help you need.
I have depression and anxiety & through medication and the help of a psychologist - I'm feeling dramatically better. I'm coping with stress and starting to cope with life's yps and downs.
You can feel better. Start the process by talking to your gp.

Hi @woody1980

To add to @utopia's great suggestions. Do you have friends or family that you can connect with? You do not necessarily have to speak to them about the state of your mental health. Sometimes being around others can ease the sense of isolation. But it's also important to not carry the load of what you're feeling on your own. Finding support for your depression and anxiety can help. Do you have a GP that you can talk to? Feel free to hang out on here and connect with others.

It can also help to write about your experiences so that when you do see therapists or peers .. you are clearer about your issues.

Or if you are not that verbal .. do some visual or tactile creativity ... or go bush ... and study birds wildlife ... sometimes being alone & close to nature can refresh and fill me with positivity.

If you have a GP and a counsellor and have a little bit of good in your life .. it helps to work through things that may be blocking you.
