Welcome

Not sure we have "chatted" before.

I honestly do not know how my family and I sit with whole scheme of things around BiPolar, but I want to stay connected and informed about it.

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hi @NewbieBipolar

Hope the study time was fruitful and you can get some me time tonight. My BBC podcast is just choral evensong but I also listen to several ABC RN programs and there are a couple of Canadian ones I've been meaning to follow up. Current affairs, environment, social issues, often with a scitech or academic flavour.

@Shaz51 @Appleblossom greetings, I'm sitting on a bit of anxiety atm with a medical procedure early next week. Have a bit to organise beforehand including a covid test.

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Thanks @Dimity , now where to begin? I guess with self care.

Right now my self care I do is podcasts, walking 5ks each day (unless theres severe weather), music, my mood app (eMoods), staying in touch with friends, limiting social media (a struggle).

Also a big thing for me is reading, I just feel better when I'm reading. Can give book recommendations if anyones interested.

I got into Booktube this year and found a few channels to follow like Jack Edwards.

Happy to answer any questions about my journey. These self care stuff I do anyway but have ramped it up with lockdown; like last year I did the Black Dog challenge for mental health, which was really good. I've also done a Sober October and am trying not to drink this lockdown. Theres some good non alcoholic drinks ive found at my supermarket; its also cheaper for me not to drink right now lol.

Looking forward to hearing about other peoples stories and will start a podcast thread

Love the idea of a podcast thread @JungleGiants

@Dimity Choral Evensong sounds like a good way to wind down. I am interested in all those other things you mentioned.

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hello @JungleGiants

I noticed that you expressed concern that something you had put up may not be in the right place. Is there information with which @Appleblossom , @Dimity , @Shaz51 or I may be able to help.

When I first joined the forum, I had trouble negotiating some of the forum functions, and sometimes still do. So we are all in the same boat. Please feel free to ask for assistance if required.

Hello also to @Owen45

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

Hi @HenryX its in Our Stories which i think is the wrong place, better off somewhere else maybe. Do I repost it or link it somewhere else?

Thanks

Re: Let`s talk about Bipolar

Hello @JungleGiants

What I have done (there may be other ways), if a story or statement might be appropriate in two locations, or you simply want to put it into another location, is to "copy and paste", from the original forum thread on to a word processor page (Microsoft Word, OpenOffice Writer, etc.). Then "copy & paste" back into another forum thread, or location.

In fact, I actually write, all but the shortest responses, in a word processor, using all the word processor functions except "highlighting" (which has not transferred for me) and then "copy & paste" into the thread of choice. This helps to avoid what I refer to as the

dreaded "Authentication Mismatched" demon

that is a timeout function, in this and other forum websites. It does not cause your computer any problem, but you can lose a long post, that has taken quite a bit of time to prepare. Using a word processor means that you also retain the original copy of your post, that can then be re-posted in a refreshed “Reply” box, if another copy is lost.

I hope that I have been clear, however, if any questions or queries arise, one of us will be happy to respond.

Best Wishes

@HenryX
