Hello everyone, I've joined this group because I just don't know what else to do. I am deeply concerned about a friend of mine who has gotten herself into deep financial strife with quite a few people and local businesses and refuses to repay her debts because she firmly believes that in a past life in Atlantis, these people stole from her and she feels their "karma" absolves her from having to pay her debts in this life time. These people are initiating court proceedings against her to try and recoup their losses and I am deeply concerned at how she is going to fare making such claims in a court of law. I have tried talking to her, but she adamantly maintains that she has achieved a pure state of consciousness that puts her above earthy laws, and speaks of returning to her home planet "where everyone is pure love and pure light". She is becoming increasingly isolated because of her behaviours and I'm at a loss as to how I can help. She has long distanced herself from all family and I have no means of contacting them. She often believes people are sending demonic energies after her, that she must spend days and nights fending off and now believes this of me. What can I do?
Dear @ButterflysistaI respect your concern for your friend. it seems to be a human longing across all cultures to imagine an ideal heavenly place to escape to after the struggles of life on the planet. how long have you known your friend and in what context? When people cling to irrational ideas it can be very difficult to shift their beliefs. The ideas .. give them some rationale for their state. If you can appeal to logic do ... protect yourself .. and walk with her if it is the right things for you to do ... it may bring her crashing down but she may be able to cope ... if she is not alone.
Does anyone else have any ideas??

Re: Concern for a friend
@Butterflysista. If these businesses are going to take her to court - it may well be the best thing to happen to her. If she has a lawyer - he will probably request a psychiatric review for her. If the lawyer doesn't - the judge surely will. It may be time for her to get the professional treatment she needs. Unfortunately you may not be able to encourage her. This is where the law can help. Can you go with her to a lawyers office or to the court. Maybe there you could speak about your love and concern for her. She may be sectioned.

Re: Concern for a friend
Thanks so much for the responses! I agree that having an ideal of a utopia after we pass on is comforting. And I am sincerely hoping she gets the help she needs, as I'm not sure what further assistance I can be to her when she has such dark beliefs of me, and refuses contact. I shall pray that she doesn't slip through the cracks during the upcoming legal process. Thanks again

Re: Concern for a friend
Hello @Butterflysista, welcome to the Forums. It sounds like a really distressing situation - watching your friend create these problems without the awareness of how serious they are and the potential repercussions. You've had some good advice from @Appleblossom and @utopia about looking after yourself and how involvement in the system may actually assist your friend.
It sounds as if you now need to simply watch and wait and be available once her beliefs are challenged. That's the real opportunity to help. Let us know how you go.

Re: Concern for a friend
I feel for you, I'm having similar problems with my youngest brother who's gone off his meds again; MH have dropped him from their community help. I agree with what's been said already, that, if your friend tells everyone the same - court could help her. But it may Also cause her to abandon these ideas that are not helping. Can you convince her to see a psychologist? Of tell this stiff smile to her GP?Is she under a lot of stress lately that needs addressing? Can you take a holiday somewhere? I find stress to cause these alternative mindsets to manifest.
My brother gets aggresive with me when I hint at not believing him, and yes, he also demonizes me along with the others if I challenge him. It seems hopeless sometimes. He hurt his back yesterday, this is the tx I got from him just now:
"I already know. When they did a cat scan he said let's hope your broken back doesn't give you trouble. I know you want believe me sis but the Gov spy and his spirit son Hugh did it. Because I'm a cripple in the spirit world and Gov agent lied about me 30 years ago in order to have me crippled. Because God would not let me be crippled or die, the Gov took offence to me being alive. This Gov agent PK is the anti christ, this is a fact. He even thinks his God. Anyway use will find out when I confess to having slayed a number of corrupt swines in QLD Gov, in defense of myself & others. They also know anf plan on stealing our family inheritance. I'm not going to let that happen and I'm going to end the lives of a lot of Aliens bought to earth & taken on human form, now they have corrupted even the Catholic Church as well as others. They are into brain washing there victims, family and friends, leaving them completely alone so attacking there victim (me) is even easier [without family support]. Like me in QLD"
I don't know what to do either, this is my baby brother 😞
