Waiting for hospital admission

Waiting for hospital admission

I've been physically unwell the last few months. It's affecting my quality of life. 2 emergency visits over the last few weeks. Partner had to call the ambulance for me a few days ago. Finally got to a specialist, a professor in his field. He said the best place for me is hospital where specialists can test and try to diagnose my issues. My GP has been on holiday so I've been waiting for him to get back which will be on Tuesday. I'll talk to him then about the hospital admission. Hoping it doesn't take too long to find a spot.
I'm over being sick. I'm over not being able to get up from the couch or bed. I'm bored. I'm upset. I'm just over it.

I guess I was just hoping to find someone to talk to. Maybe someone that understands. It sucks when medical professionals just don't understand what's happening and can't do anything to help.

Re: Waiting for hospital admission

@PlantLover I’m sorry you are going through such a hard time of it all. It’s not the time of year to get help unfortunately, most seems to go on holiday.

I hope you don’t have to wait too long before you get a hospital admission, and some help will be available.

Sending you some 💕💕 to get through this time.

Hey @PlantLover sounds really tough atm. I hope that the Professor will push things forward. Sounds like they were taking you seriously, which is at least a good place to start. Hopefully other medicos will respect the Professor's advice and take action. Thinking of you.

Thank you @frog. I'm really worried no one will be able to find out what's going on with me. I don't know how much longer I can keep living like this, It's awful.

I miss cooking. I miss being in the garden. I miss cleaning the house. I miss leaving the house. I miss shopping.
I'm really hoping this isn't going to be permanent.

I completely understand how you feel. I don't know what the hell goes on in medical school, but it's really hard to find good doctors and good hospital care. I've noticed this for the last oh 15 years now.

I think I was about 26 or 27 when I got an airborne ulcer. In agony for three months. I ended up diagnosing myself and finally getting the help I needed. In the meantime, I lost do much financially as I was bed ridden and couldn't do my job. I ended up leaving. I worked in a hospital and think I caught it there I had no one to help take care of me. It was awful.

I've gone to Chinese herbal doctors sometimes and they have got to the issue on the first visit. Huge relief.

Then had a really bad experience a few months back. For what this doctor did, he should have had a huge black mark on his record but I had no energy to fight him or the system. I can still do something within the next two years but I just don't trust the system and I literally have no energy.

I hope you get the care, attention and diagnosis you need ASAP.

Oh goodness @Powderfinger !

I completely get the finances. I've had to put my business on hold. I miss working and having money. It's sad seeing my savings disappear.

Wow, they didn't do ultrasounds or anything ??

Oh that's awful, was this a GP?

thank you!
