Talking

Talking

Is there something in the brain that inhibits someone from talking about crap? I'm stuck in my head.

Re: Talking

Dear Rose2. When it comes to talking 'crap' I think everyone suffers at some stage. If you attend parties, wait till people have too much drink, then listen. Can be extremely funny before it gets tiresome. If you're meaning 'you', perhaps it's letting off steam from everything around you. Maybe to you, it's rubbish, boring, to someone else it could be interesting.

Hi @Rose2

I'm not sure if we've met 🙂 sorry if we have!! But HI! glad you're here.

How are you going?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean about people being inhibited from talking about crap... but i do get the bit about being stuck in your head. When i have been really low i find it impossible to talk, about big things or little things. Its just all to hard, and everything gets somehow stuck in my head going around in circles but never comes out! So im not sure if you mean something like that where you cant talk about things or other people? 😄

Hope you're ok,

LJ

Re: Talking

Hi @Rose2

I was often stuck in my head a lot during me 1st 3 decades ... from 6-36 yrs... my nanna did say to me once when I was living with her when I was 10 that I used to be a chatter box ....

There is probably no right way to get out of your head ... sometimes just saying something helps ... catch a few phrases that circle around inside your head and one day when you can plonk it into a conversation ... go for it ..

Shyness, anxiety or experiences of abuse may be the inhibiting factors ..

Bottom line for me .. choir singing was a great cure .. as it means you need to vocalise in a group as part of the activity .. and you are given a script .. so you dont need to stress about the words .. you dont have to actually engage in too much chit chat until you are ready ... but it doesnt suit everyone...

I believe we all can sing ..except if we have medical issues and even then some can be overcome ..
