Re: I need a doctor...

@Happyness. I believe the NBS is being rolled out in some towns in NSW. Slowly it will cover all of NSW. Then it comes to other states. Not sure when. Are you in NSW? Phone your local council office and ask when it's coming to your area. They will know. Good luck

Dear Happiness. Is there any sort of transport situation near you? I'm in Qld and volunteer for a service that takes people shopping, Dr's, hospitals etc. Admittedly you do have to meet the criteria, pension, age, disability etc. We're called Able Australia. Have a look online for 'help for the disabled', see what you can find. Maybe also type Able Australia. If you are unable to drive due to disability you could be entitled to some help. Angli-care does have transport service available, not sure how it works but try them too.

Hello @Happyness

Navigating the mental health system can be so frustrating at times. Have you checked out the NDIS website? There's some information there about where it's currently available and when info sessions are taking place.

Here is the link: https://myplace.ndis.gov.au/ndisstorefront/index.html

You can also call them on 1800 800 110

Hopefully they can help you out. @pip's suggestion of finding out about volunteer transport services to get to the GP also sounds like a good idea.

Good luck with it and let us know how you go.
