Hi @CamelsBackBroke
I'm sorry to read about your experience here in the Forums. Would I be right in saying that you are frustrated that you did not getting a response to your post here?
I'm really sorry that you didn't find the help and support here that you were after. The moderators and Community Guides do try to ensure people get a response to their new discussions within a day, but with the increase of traffic at the moment, unfortunately some things do fly under the radar.
I can completely understand that you feel that no one cares after not getting a response, and I apologise for that. Typically this community is very supportive of each other. We often find regardless of the diagnosis or symptoms, we all have the common experience of the impact that mental illness or mental health difficulties has on us.
Because of this connection, some people do use the forums for social connection and keep people up to date on what's been going on and discuss other every day type of topics. I think you made the point in your other post here that some areas seem like a chat room - which is true, but there are also discussions, like the one you started, which are for people to reach out and ask for help.
On another note, as some background on the advertisement you saw, the people featured in those are real people who have courageously shared their experiences and who believe in the power of connecting with others with similar experiences. I just wanted to clear that up.
As I said before, I truly apologise that your post hasn't received a response yet and that your experience so far of the community hasn't been great. I will ensure it gets a response.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask 🙂
Take care.
