Just being a person first

Just being a person first

I am a person. I have life experiences, some hideous, some really average, some OK and some bad. I have learnt many things; some imporant, some useful, some utterly terrifying and some dreadful. I have a mind that may or may not be reliable and a body that is intrinsicacly linked to that mind. I have capabilities that I have never been able to explore due to the delights of trying to be accepted although so horribly self consciously different. Get this though - it really is OK to be me.

I have been through years and years of total denial, whilst I withered and essentially hid amongst attempting other dreadful things.. Then reality finally took over 10 years ago and I became my own diagnosis a lens that became so covered in a noxious substance that I lost me.

This year the diagnosis took over again and I became lost. I completely gave up and gave this my best shot on multiple occassions. I now must somehow come to terms with the damage I have done. I have been supported, rescued and loved - I am very fortunate.

I can only interpret this from the perspective of purpose. I am now allowed to be me.

Lotsa luv

Bast

What a beautifully written and poignant piece you have written.

I'm really happy to read that you have been 'supported, rescued and loved'

Has this been through your family? Friends?

Hi Tilaj welcome to the Forum and please don't be scared it is open for you to safely speak up in a supportive environment. Is there anything in particular that you wanted to say or discuss? You might find some helpful information on the SANE site articles that you can read or just join into others conversations and see how you go! Once again welcome
