Something’s not right

Struggling

Struggling

Hi I’m new here. I’m not coping that well with my daughters mental health issues. I have BPD myself. I get very scared. We have to attend court on Monday. Thanks

Re: Struggling

hi @Mothercat
im sorry that things are o tough for you. I also have BPD myself and it can be tricky to manage can i ask if you have your own supports?

Does your daughter have any supports in place?

Im sorry you have to attend court on monday, i can imagine that would be so scary and overwhelming. im sure you are as prepared as you can be, so maybe focus on getting through tonight with some self care and distractions?

also please feel free to have a look around the forums and join in wherever you like. a forum tip is to put an @ before a members name just as i have for you so that they will recieve a notification.

@Markmark welcome to you as well!

Re: Struggling

@outlander, thanks for your kind words. Yes the thought of court is scarey. I do have support but I’m not happy with it at the moment. My daughter just got a case manager. Thanks

Re: Struggling

im glad your daughter has a case worker, perhaps they can also help accessing mh supports as well. if she is under 25 then she can access headspace for free with a gp refferral.

can you maybe see different support people? i have changed several times to try and find the right supports so no harm in having a look to see if someone is better suited to you
