Re: Sexually harassed

Hello, @Evie1
I would only suggest to be very straight and clear with him about what you want, so that there can be no confusion or misunderstanding on his part.
Also to put your foot down with healthy boundaries. If he ignores all that and continues then,
Be clear on the message with something along the lines of: "Please stop it and leave me alone, if you ignore my wishes, i'll be calling the Police.".
The police can also go and give him a warning though it's probably best if that warning first came from you so that it does not unecessarily use police resources (depending on his nature of course, if you think you are in danger then its best to let the police know ).
Of course if he ignores then call the police.
He's very unlikely to go near you once the police are suggested and/or involved.

Re: Sexually harassed

That's horrible @Evie1 and no woman deserves this

I was sexually harassed a long time ago now and I can't explain the circumstances here of course but it was very hard to get any help with it so I understand how upsetting and frustrating this can be

You've been given some good suggestions - the most important thing is to refuse to respond - hard I know

It's wrong that someone feels they have the right to behave like this and it does have the power to upset us but it can't change who we are

I wish you the best about this and please keep in touch

Re: Sexually harassed

It's a difficult situation.
if it's restricted to online, report to Whatever admin is available and block them everywhere. Unfortunately this happens and it's not on you in any way, but it does and the only way to reduce it is to report it.

If there is a physical component to it, someone you have contact with, it's a different situation. I know how hard it is but do reach out to someone you trust, let them know you are worried, they don't need to know why if you don't want to tell them.
ignoring the individual is a start, don't ignore the situation, if it's biting at you you need to talk. Might be to a friend, a professional or online like this... it's a step in the right direction. Look after you, you'd be surprised about who will understand.

Re: Sexually harassed

@Sharkcat I'm thinking about telling my most trusted teacher from tafe I enjoy her classes she plays games with us as an icebreaker this pain can affect my ability to learn effectively it's happened before years ago where my mental health issues affected my ability to learn so much that I could no longer concentrate it was impossible all I could think was trauma all the time I had to quit study because I couldn't stop crying or having really bad panic attacks I just don't want the same to happen here I can't fail this course it's my dream to work with the youth

Re: Sexually harassed

@Evie1 it sounds to me like a good idea to tell your TAFE teacher. It's sensible as you said you don't want to have to quit this course. Your teacher may also know steps to take.

Sorry that you have been put in this scary position. Wishing you all the best.
