Re: feeling lost

Welcome, @mamabearsall123 ...I'm really sorry to hear all you are suffering at the moment. Am especially sad to hear about your recent losses of your mother in law and your best friend your dog, and the fact that you're currently homeless. I really feel for you.

Can I ask if you have any professional supports? Do you have a supportive GP? And what about Centrelink or housing support?

I'm also sorry to hear about your chronic pain... You might be interested in joining a thread here on chronic pain, called "Life can be a Pain: https://saneforums.org/t5/Our-stories/Life-can-be-a-Pain/m-p/162111

I really hope you can find some better days soon. It's good you've joined the forums...there are people here who understand.

Re: feeling lost

@mamabearsall123 I'm glad to hear you and your daughter can live with a supportive friend for now. And I hear you about taking it one day at a time.

I think not all supports are closed because of the virus. Psychologists and psychiatrists often offer Telehealth appointments, at least mine are and I've heard others are too. Likewise housing support services are operating I believe.

Would you feel like you could visit your GP and ask them for more support? They might be able to recommend medication if you needed that, or a counsellor that could offer you a phone appointment.

Also, a handy forum tip is to put a @ before anyone's name that you'd like to talk to and click on their name in the drop-down box - that way they get a notification that you've replied to them, like I did for you in this post.
