Re: schitzoeffective disorder

@Klr83 Hey Kir83 firstly I wanted to congratulate you on the new job. I also have schizoaffective disorder. I would love to be off my meds but know that as soon as I am the voices will start up again even if I play with them just a little bit there are issues. My psychiatrist has warned me to stay on the perscribed dose or there will be problems controlling the illness (voices, mania etc). I am not going to tell you what to do but if I were you I would be seeing my trusted psychiatrist about what has been occuring better to be safe than sorry.

@Klr83 Hey Kir83 that is good. Having to go to hospital is awful I know. I hope the meds work well for you and control that niggly, annoying voice (there is always one isnt there ). Mine is a male voice I call him my boyfriend (but he can be vicious and cruel so hardly boyfriend material lol).

Anyway welcome to the forums have a look around there is quite a bit on schizoaffective disorder which is good. Also if you want to talk to anyone specifically put a @ infront of their name like I did for you and they will get a notification of you post. greenpea 🙂

Re: schitzoeffective disorder

Hi

I also have been diagnosed years ago with schitzo effective disorder.

Its a daily struggle I'm on meds morning and evening for it.

Its hardest for me at work I get anxiety attacks and paranoia, I always feel and fear my boss watching me and criticizing me through his thoughts which I think is aimed at me. I'm always on edge about making mistakes and fearful constantly about losing my job.
