Re: Rescue Remedy

Hi @jamesle2015

I asked the pharmacist once - he said - most likely not helpful

But I don't think it will cause any harm either - unless you are taking other medication

I think they are made from Bach Flowers - if they are - and you try the Rescue Remedies - it's a good idea not to drink coffee - and I don't know why

But - you can't tell with Herbal Remedies - it just might work for you - and if it was dangerous - I don't think you could buy it otc at the pharmacy

Except - did you ask the pharmacist if it was safe to take with other medication?

Re: Rescue Remedy

@jamesle2015. I have some friends that swesr by rescue remedy. I think its a bit like taking st johns wart. Maybe good for very mild cases of strength. But not sure how theyvwould work with someone with anxiety and depression. Best to ask your treating dr or pharmacist. As some natural products can interfere with our prescription meds.
If you find out, please let us know the answer.

Re: Rescue Remedy

Hi @jamesle2015 Rescue Remedy is a situational remedy for stress and trauma. Recommendations on the bottle are 4 drops under the tongue and let it absorb without swallowing, another alternative is two drops in a bottle of water and drink as needed. I have used the second suggestion for myself and my kids when they were young, generally in the morning and found it successful. In saying that, this remedy works for some and not for others. To my understanding it can be taken in conjunction with medication and does not contraindicated with meds. My suggestion would be to try and find a Bach Flower Therapist who would be better able to inform you of their treatments. Best of luck 😊

Re: Rescue Remedy

Hi @jamesle2015

I have tried Bach Flower Remedies and I think the experience would very for everyone and perhaps - as @Blondie1 suggests, it's better to see someone who is experienced with Rescue Remedies

One thing I know that is entirely harmless and might help is not to drink coffee while you are using a rescue remedy - I don't know why

All the best - if this doesn't work perhaps a heart-to-heart with your pharmacist will give you a better OTC treatment - otherwise - it would be even better to see your GP
