LOVE

LOVE

It doesnt get mentioned much, but I wonder where love sits in the range of issues MI people have to deal with.

Re: LOVE

Personally I am hard pressed dealing with myself and my child without adding another person to the mix! I left my husband 14 years ago and since then I've focussed on nothing more than us.

Re: LOVE

I'm one of those who had more problems with lonliness than with love.... I'm sure it's just from lack of experience though! *doe eyes*

Re: LOVE

I was actually talking about it in a bit wider sense. I meant love in any way-parents to kids, partner to partner, family, even pets.

Re: LOVE

Too hard.

Like anger.

Two both totally human and valid emotions.

Re: LOVE

I love my cat and she is the sort of girl who will sit on you head if it is breakfast time, swat you at a run( some banned words are surprising), bite you in passing. Humans I tend to distrust, are you being sincere or what?

Relationships......I would love to have someone special, but my use by date has long expired, loneliness is something I have had all my life, like a scab, I pick at it,but would feel weird without!

Re: LOVE

I just thought I would bring this thread up as we are having other similar conversations. I like the simple and direct responses. Not like me where I ramble ..

And because I miss Kenny. I guess his cancer is too severe for him to post anymore. My thoughts are with you if you are still here or have already gone there ... @kenny66

Re: LOVE

For me my love for those special people in my life - husband, children, close friends appears to be undying. Even if contact has ceased for some reason my love for them continues. I just have to love from a distance.

Earlier this year my daughter threw my bipolar in my face. It hurts enormously but it has not stopped me loving her with all my heart. My love for her is eternal. As for the hurt she inflicted I remind myself that words said in anger do not necessarily mean that they are true.

We've not had any contact with her since then. My feelings about this is that she needs time to calm down and reflect on her world. However I have been contacted regularly by her husband and tnis has been very comforting for both of us and I know that she's going well.

Yes, it is hard sometimes but life experience has taught me that given time we will once again have the very close relationship that we've always had.

Re: LOVE

Is it hope that springs eternal .. or it love?

I am not sure.

@Kurra the idea that we keep love alive in our hearts while being separated is a big one for me .. also with my daughter.

I have not been able to have such an optimistic outlook that everything will work out, relationship wise, too many major traumas and tragedy. Which is why I also care for the those who are lost or dead. Yes it is in a general fashion and not manifest in my living relationships ... but I am not sure that I am really to blame for that. I am an optimist at heart.

I like your wisdom. @Kurra
