Living with borderline overseas

Living with borderline overseas

I’m struggling with mental health issues such as BPD (reason my ex left me), I’m here on a spouse visa, but it is not an option to go home as my main goal was to leave all my problems behind as I never felt at home in my own country (shitty past). As my ex partner will lodge his visa alone I will have to leave the country I call now “home”.

Him leaving my was my biggest fear and he did.. Letting him go (trying) made me mentally drained and tired of life.. Im not thinking of suicide, but I’ve just no life left in my anymore. If I go home I will have to go back to my past I try so hard to forget. I am scared of going to another country and start all over again as I am not coping very well on my own.. Staying here is scary too as all memories are made with him and I can probs stay max half a year longer anyway. I try to fight to be brave, but the pain is taking over. I’ve no clue what to do anymore.
Anyone in this situation or has some encouriging words or advice?

Re: Living with borderline overseas

What helped me most was finding another thing to fill my time and thoughts with. I must admit I don't suffer from attachment issues most people do with BPD in the same way, but I've experienced what you're feeling. Honestly, it doesn't fix itself overnight, it takes time and effort to find reason to feel/live not just survive but it's about putting in the effort to make it happen, and not just wallowing in it (like I see many people do).
