Something’s not right

Really scared just now

Really scared just now

I just saw something I know cannot be real. It jolted me something bad. I’ve been lax about taking my meds lately because they make me so tired. I’ve just taken them but I’m afraid I’ve screwed up my brain chemistry or something.

It’s not the first time this has happened but each time It’s frightening.

Time to listen to soothing music and try to get into a calmer mindset.

@Queenie

I hope your strategies worked.

I went through a period that I could almost talk myself into seeing a hallucination. I was so worried about catching Schizophrenia.

Take care

Re: Really scared just now

hi @Queenie

hope you are feeling better and feel safe.

I always take my meds. I've had to increase them lately because my psychotic symptoms have returned & the anguish was unbearable.

It's a shame your meds make you tired (I have the opposite problem with insomnia) but it may be best to take them.

Let us know how you go when you can

Hello everyone, I’ve been in shutdown mode for most of the day. I ended up using my traffic light system (remember the one I use with my Mrs?) I managed to text a simple word....red. She knows what that means. After a lot of tears and a phone call to my psychiatrist, I’m back down to yellow. I have to have a blood test to see how my medication levels are but he was of the opinion I should be more responsible regarding my meds. I guess he’s got a good point.

@Queenie I hope your meds get sorted and you stay on yellow. All the best with blood tests.

Re: Really scared just now

well done @Queenie on getting to yellow

hope the blood tests are helpful

Probably a silly question but does your psychiatrist know that fatigue is a serious side effect for you? is there anything they can change or give you to help with fatigue? (My psychiatrist had to give me a whole other medication so I can sleep because my new anti-psychotics had no sedative effect & I had bad insomnia)

Stay safe & keep us posted on how you're travelling

Re: Really scared just now

Hey @BryanaCamp , the doctor did say my levels were low but that’s probably because I wasn’t taking the meds properly.

He knows about the fatigue but actually suggested getting more exercise so that I sleep better at night. He is reluctant to change meds and I don’t blame him for that.
