I was thinking more along the lines of; having thougths, ideas and urges, about doing stuff in the moment, which are positive; and which are our own way of 'getting on with life'. But thinking and feeling-it's all to hard... It's all to much... it's all to stressful... and then, starting to think about traumatizing stuff from the past, which puts us in fright, fight and flight mode. That's what ptsd is to me... then the end result of this cycle, when we finally take action, is usually quite negative and only the bare basics... and the positive thoughts, ideas and urges never get achieved or take ages to achieve... hence contributing to the stress... and making life harder...
This fright, fight and flight reaction... is within our minds and against our past experiences and memories... and the mind trys to resolve the emotional reaction of the fright, fight and flight reaction in anyway it can... usually resulting in what the professionals consider to be symptoms... the mind can create a huge array of reactions/symptoms in the process of trying to deal with the emotions/thoughts that are attached to our past experiences and memories; where the fright, fight or flight reaction was in play...
