I'm lost someone help!

I'm lost someone help!

This is my first post here. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety but well both seem true I think I might have borderline personality disorder. I always feel like my friends don't actually like me, and that my parents don't understand my stuggless or refuse to acknowledge that I have any problems in the first place. I cant seem to make any new friends because I'm too afraid that they wont like me or that they'll make fun of me. I also get extremely attached to people that dont like me or people that I dont even talk to. I've been seeing a professional for about 6 months now but haven't made to many improvements. I still struggle daily with thoughts of suicide, low self esteem and uncontrollable mood swings. I've tried everything from meds to weed but I still want to die. If anyone has any advice please help.

Re: I'm lost someone help!

First off, well done for sharing. That isn't always easy, even in an environment like this!

My advice is to change things up. See another therapist.

I don't know the intricacies of what you're going through, but can tell you're in a very dark place and when things drag on like that for a while it's much easier to entertain drastic ideas. I know, I've been there very, very recently.

I only say see another therapist as I don't know the details but if you're doing your best with whatever strategies are being given to you and there's still no improvement, sometimes a fresh set of eyes can really help. A new perspective.

Especially if you've already brought up the idea of potential borderline personality disorder and you feel like perhaps that wasn't taken seriously?

Just a thought.

Hang in there, there's always someone here to reach out to.
