Thank you for your nice long post of encouragement. Sadly i do not have much support around me, ive found that people i thought were friends, suddenly disappear when your down and no good to them.
I always loved to go horse riding and play with my horses, but i have a bad injury from work and ive spent 2 years in the worst pain and made me unable to enjoy most things that always pepped me up and kept me going.
i like my music and watching movies, but i find my mind just keeps dragging me back to my current situation and i have always been positive regardless and been the high spirited one who helps others, but my bad luck has been going down for 2 years straight and just lately everything has got on top of me.
Your message was inspiring and for the first time in weeks, i dont feel alone or silly for feeling down!

Hi again @Blkrose8 🙂
Really great to hear that you didn't feel silly or alone after posting. Realising we aren't alone and that others experience the same kinds of things and can understand, is something awesome about being here on the forum I think.
Really sorry to hear about your injury and the way it has impacted you and your ability to do things that give you enjoyment. Also sorry to hear that people have disappeared from your life right when it sounds like it would have been great to have them around. What about professional supports? Do you have a psychologist, GP, counselor etc?
I noticed above that you were getting used to navigating around here. It's a big place and theres lot's to see and be part of if you're interested! If you'd like to 'meet' some others the Good Morning thread can be somewhere to start, but feel free to jump in anywhere and say hi as everyone is pretty understanding and welcoming. You can also search for specific topics with the search function above and can tag people to reply to them by putting the @ symbol in front of their name (that was a helpful tip I was given when I joined).
Hope to see you around 🙂

Thanks again for the helpful hints, thats great to know, when i stop feeling so shy i might build up the courage to intro myself on here more.
My Gp is pretty useless, i was telling him for months how down i was feeling and about a month ago i hit breaking point and realised i needed to get him to refer me to someone, which he did, i think he was surprised that i could bottle up so much hurt, so i went to see a psychologist and she spent more time telling me her problems than wanting to listen so ive asked him to refer me to someone else and i have a psychiatrist appointment in Nov as my dr said i could have bi-polar.
It is disappointing when friends just disappear, they are so used to leaning on me, finally when i cant be there, im no good, guess thats my silly fault for being so gullible.
I suffer anxiety as well and i panic and my episodes are getting more and more frequently with my health problems, to the point i cant go anywhere cos i feel like im suffocating, another thing left untreated in the hope i miraculousy just stop.
It was only luck i was sitting crying my eyes out and the add came on TV for this site and i thought, have nothing to lose checking it out!

It's annoying when people, like your GP don't seem to listen @Blkrose8. It's hard enough to bring things up sometimes and to have it not understood or listened to can make it extra hard. Same with the psych you saw. Really well done on pushing though and keeping on trying to find someone else. I hope your appointment in November brings you something helpful. I hang often hang out on this thread here where there are a few lovely people who live with bipolar (if you'd like to say hi if/when you're ready to venture here 🙂).
I live with anxiety also and find the suffocating feelings it brings can be debilitating. Just living with it can really take it out of me and managing it can be exhausting!
How do you usually spend your days (if you'd like to share)? Hope today has something good in it for you.

Im sorry to hear you suffer with anxiety also, i can identify how awful it can be and how it has such an impact on living 😞
And yes very frustrating when you reach out for help and feel stupid and ignored. Ive never been a talker about my own problems, i learnt from a teen that you bottle things up and smile, so its really difficult for me to share.
My brother has bi-polar and he has had a terrible time, i dragged him out of my car a few weeks back from trying to end his life:-(
I used to work 3 jobs and flat out, and loved my work until me injury, now my pain meds have been increased and increased and they dull the pain but these days i struggle to get up and i go outside for 10 mins and feels like i have ran a marathon, i feel nautious from so much pain relief and spend all night up and down because of pain, i watch TV and listen to music and generally a support person for my brother and friends when they need someone to listen to.
