some struggles in my life right now

some struggles in my life right now

I feel so anxious when talking about things i feel, especially when it comes to professional settings. It doesnt come out right and I try so hard to be honest. No matter what I do, it never ends up being what I really want to say and it makes me feel horrible.

When certain things make it worse, you remove it from your situation, but I literally cant. My mother makes me feel absolute horseshit whenever we talk and it just gets worse every time. I have no idea what to do to fix these things, any advice?

Hi @ohuyu

I'm Margot. Nice to meet you 🌻 I can see you're new here too, so welcome 😊

Anxiety can feel so awful and quite debilitating too - especially in professional contexts where we can feel a whole lot of pressure to behave a certain way. Have you ever spoken to anybody about your experience? It could be worth checking in with your GP and getting a referral to see a counsellor in your local area.

You're certianly not alone in how you're feeling and lots of our members on the forums have experienced anxiety too. In speaking about how you're feeling here, youre already taking a step in the rigth direction. You may already have read up about anxiety but if not, you can read more about it here.

Here are few links to some existing forum discusions on the topic too:

Last month, we held a discussion on coping with strong emotions here that you might be intersted in. Hope that's a little useful for now.
