Mothers' Day...............

I have to go to the restaurant for lunch...

It was booked by someone else on Saturday night - a bit before I am writing this post -

one of those things that happens to all of us you have to go to....

been to this restaurant before atmsphere not good - too crowded there is not much space in there

they used up as much of the space as possible for the tables and everyone talks too loud and the

tables are too close - you know what I mean I hate that how you can hear other people's conversations

especially when they have 'big' voices.....

this is what happens when people don't care to book in advance - disorganised last minute booking

it will be a miracle if the tables around us have people with 'quieter' voices that would be good....

anyway it's only for tomorrow hopefully won't need to go there anymore

Loud crowded restaurants can certainly be annoying @jamesle2015. I hope it's a pretty subdued crowd for you.

Jamesie2015, was this a Mother's Day lunch? Sounds like you didn't want to go? Keep us posted.

I'm checking in here to connect with others who find MD difficult. That s is our first year without mum. Andy sister lost a child. For some MD is just hard.

I want to say Happy Mothers Day to all those who are 'HAPPY'

- lap it up!

But to those so sad - I'm with you 💝

Hi @jamesle2015, sounds like you found the prospect of a crowded restaurant really challenging. Family gatherings can be so difficult for so many reasons. How did you go during the lunch?

I must admit I wasn't that keen to go but it was ok as we were only there for about an hour...

The table we got wasn't in the middle it was on one side ....only 5 of us

I looked around -

It was a full house - about 40 people I reckon

I was facing the front of the restaurant .....there was a table with about 10 or maybe more people

in front of us ....I noticed the expression on the older lady's face ...poor Mum had a lot to endure ...

the one next to her looked like her daughter and she had invited all her 'friends' I assume...

They were there before us and I reckon probably stayed a long time after we left....

I can't mention the name of the restaurant or someone will work out where I live 🙂

Parked nearly in the 1hour parking....

Lucky got back in time the parking inspector was there

It's over for another year - we don't go to this restaurant every year - maybe next year we may not

do anything I don't know

Anyone else do anything - lunch dinner??
