Any carers out there?

Any carers out there?

Reaching out to others who are in a caring role. I look after my mother with multiple health issues, including depression and anxiety. I feel stuck. I can see the signs that the depression has reared its head but my mum doesn't see it. I really struggle when my mum's mental health suffers. I too battle with depression and anxiety. Emotionally, I am all over the place. Hoping there are some others out there who understand what I'm going through.

Hi @Bella1978

I know this post has been around for a while but I noticed you hadn't got any responses. You are certainly not alone - there are many people on these forums who are in the role of carer. Being a carer sounds like such an emotional rollercoaster, and it's important you feel supported. Perhaps some of the following threads on the carers forum would be helpful to read and post in:

- "Looking after ourselves" thread here

- "Carers hints and tips for success" here

- "How do carers manage when they need themselves?" here

I hope these are a good starting point. Best wishes!
