Re: Help
Talk to your doctor and see about getting another referral. Keeping it from your family and friends is a strain. Having somebody to talk thing through would help. You have the right to see someone who can reach out with rapport and offer strategies. In the meantime I will tag you to a social thread.

Re: Help
Is there a way you can reduce the amount of hours of either study or work? Most institutions have services that can support people who study while they are working through issues, maybe by reducing a study load or giving an extension on assessments. Things can become pretty overwhelming when trying to manage everything on top of having medical issues as well, and it's ok to not be able to do it all, all of the time.
Sorry to hear that you didn't find talking with a psychologist helpful. I can feel frustrated and disappointed sometimes when I reach out or go to the effort of speaking with someone but I find it doesn't seem to help me. It can also take me a while to find someone who does seem to help too and that's something I hear quite a lot of people mention. It could be a matter of needing to try someone different, which can be hard but worth it.
I don't know whether you'd be interested in speaking with the psychologist you saw and letting her know that you didn't find talking with her helpful? That's another option also as, if she's responsive to that like she probably should be, you might be able to work together on a way your sessions could be helpful.
I hope you find something that helps soon. Keep chatting here if you feel up to it and you'd like to.

Re: Help
I can relate to the thinking about wanting things to end and be better, especially when there's lots of pressure (from myself or others or just life in general) or things going on, as it seems like maybe you might experience.

Re: Help
Ending it all .. is something a lot of people think when times are hard .. I am glad you managed to get some distance from those thoughts.
Knowing a friend died in that way is very confronting. Be very gentle with yourself. Later when you have time maybe do a little research to help put your responses into perspective. Take care
