Hi @The-red-centaur,
I'm sorry to hear that your struggling at the moment. We have sent through an email with some resources for support services which you might find helpful. Please keep in mind that they sometimes get busy, so there may be a wait to talk to somebody.
Take care,

Re: Help
Sometimes drinking can help but it's a bit hit and miss. I still keep trying though ![]()
I've had a bag packed ready for hospital becuase I've felt that pressure building up for the last couple of months. It usually takes a while for me to get to the point of chatting to Lifeline or going to hospital, but there have been a few times when it has come in a couple of days. That sounds like where you are. Are you still trying LL or the SCS? Is there a friend of family member you would call or go to for safety? Would you go to hospital?
You sound very low and I'm not a cousellor. A good listener though if you want to chat.

Re: Help
Hey @The-red-centaur
Sorry I keep forgetting to tag you. I really get sick of being told that I'm depressed because of alcohol. I understand it is a depressant but I didn't start drinking until many years after being depressed and have given up for years in betwee. I think a lot of us drink because of our depression or other MIs. Being drunk, tipsy or "merry" does not stop bad feelings and I think it is rude LL cut you off but it doesn't surprise me. They remind me of that pious aunt who's always that little bit disapproving of your new hair colour, your too loud laugh or you champagne too many. They mean well, but they're not always quite what you need!
As for hospitals, well anyone who has had the pleasure of a mental health ward, particularly in the public system, knows they will do the bare minimum before sending you home with no follow up care. However, I still think that option is better than doing yourself harm, if that is where your mind is going.
I'm sorry, I started out trying to be helpful and positive but I've just done a big rave. There are flaws in our system - you need some help and you can't get it. I'm frustrated on your behalf.
